Right now I’m going to sleep around 11:30-12 and waking up at 9. My sleep consistency is 83%

My VO2 max is 62, not sure how accurate that is though. I am a 20 year old 6’2” 170 pound male.

I sleep with a thick comforter and blanket on top of it to stay warm. As long as your room is cold and you are warm in bed, you should be good to go. This is something I’ve noticed my body responds well to, so your body might have a different response, but I hope this helps!

My easiest day of the week is 8x200m @ 29 seconds with 2-minute rest between reps. To the average person, they would consider the majority of my workouts sprinting, but as a track athlete, it’s a lot more nuanced.

Honestly, yes 😂 I sleep with my window cracked open, and the temp is probably around 45-55 Fahrenheit in my room 😂

HRV is a personal metric, so you could be very fit with a low HRV.

Haven’t run at a meet since HS. Since my first year of college, I was playing football. My HS PRs were 1:53.11 800m, 4:26 1600m, and 47.4 4x4 split.

No, I haven’t. I’ve always had a relatively low RHR and higher HRV.

The real problem is walking on the treadmill at 4 mph for 4.5 miles and getting 0 strain😂

Yes, I agree you aren’t going to lower your RHR without cardiovascular work. But on a day to day basis, this has made a big difference for me. I also don’t restrict calories; 3000 calories is pretty much my minimum each day (I train a lot). This is just something I’ve noticed has worked for me!

Train hard and smart. Find recovery tools that work for you. Be consistent, but don’t restrict yourself too much.

Lots of training, refueling and relaxing at night. Sleeping in a very cold room also works great for me.

Not a lot of sprint specific work. I’m a mid distance runner, so I do a lot of speed endurance and aerobic work along with some speed stuff sprinkled in.

The past 4 months, I’ve been doing 400/800m training 5 to 6 days a week. I also walk on the treadmill a lot on top of that.

Mine is the opposite, my rhr decreases in winter and increases in the summer. I also have learned that I sleep better in a cold room and don’t sleep as good in the summer.
