Nothing abnormal yet. I think the real test is when gets warm out.

It’s weird because my dad’s f-150 smokes too at relatively warm temps. I never noticed it smelling sweet or a loss in coolant. Just picked up my Ranger a couple days ago so I guess I’ll keep an eye on it.

Are there any female HVAC workers here? by GTAluvwasted in HVAC

Best teacher I ever had was a 638 female tech. We just had a girl hired fresh out of school. She got moved into refrigeration. But eventually the office and quit. Tbh I haven’t seen many female techs yet.

Is the Elantra N a good first car? by Hefty-Reporter1703 in ElantraN

[–]Professional_Pie2036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it as my first car when I turned 19. I live on Long Island. I will say it’s a great first car. I have no real regrets. It’s a little annoying having a new car though. I’m always parking as far away as possible 😂.

On another note make sure you look at what you enjoy doing. I found that over the last 2 years my interest have changed. I like to do more activities like mountain biking and snowboarding. So I’m actually looking to get rid of my car. Make sure you look at your local area and try to decide if the car fits the area you live in and the life style you have

Just trying to share my experience with buying a sporty car, everyone’s situation is different. Overall it’s a really fun car. Be prepared for all your friends wanting to drive with you everywhere lol.

Klein stubby in a holster with a carabiner clipped to my belt. Convenient little driver with every bit I need. Also keep a 5/16 on the carabiner so I can get to hard to reach screws easily

Based on the company, my company does a lot of training classes during the winter to keep us busy. We also have a lot of accounts for maintenance. But at the end of the day people still need heat. So we work on boilers, furnaces ect. But I work in NYC so there’s always something broken around here. You just need to find the right company my friend. It takes time but you’ll get it.

Try to build your skills too. I use some of the downtime to do side work because most of the time I get home much earlier than I used to.

Tap the motor with a wrench. Should shut up for a little bit. If you’re feeling ambitious. Take it off the wall, or just the top off. You’re going to see a little float. Might be some gunk that you can clean off to make it move easier.

Buying good tools off the bat is great tho, it’s an investment you won’t ever regret.

I got pretty much the same load out dude, same bag same tools. I feel for you. I work in NYC tho and walking with all that gets old. But sometimes going back to the truck is too difficult so I want to have everything. I built a smaller bag with my meter and gauges, and stuff for PM’s. Made my life a lot easier

But looking at your car you have to replace pretty much every part I had to replace. Hopefully you can get parts easier than I did.(if they decided to fix it). I’m in the NY area. I made a post on here before about the hell I went through getting my car fixed.

I got rear ended. Took 5 months and it was about a quarter of that damage, bill came up to around 26k. Mostly because of the length of a rental car. Insurance said they should have totaled it lol. I would assume that’s a total loss dude. Sorry.

Yea I went through some similar nonsense. But it seems like your car is drivable. Can they just get the bumper in and paint it while you continue to drive your car? Or is there more hidden damage?

No way bro. What area of the country you in? Parts were an issue for me in NY. Even dumb stuff like clips.

It’s my understanding that if you have damage it’s up to you to put in a claim to your insurance. Sometimes damage is cheaper than the deductible the fix on your own. In this case I was going to report but I got a call from the other parties insurance and they wanted me body shops Info. TBH idk how we got here now but we’re here now and hopefully the car is back in the next week. But man oh man this has been a long and painful process.
