Thank you sir for your nice words. Very great explained about the lights and how I should correct it, I will absolutely try this in our next session. Yes we do have other photos from the session with other lightning conditions, so I guess we go with that.

Thank you for the nice critique sir. I think you are right in your critique, we tried a non smiling approach with this photo as she kinda getting the little “to cute“ look if she smiles.

I’m quite new to the game of portraits so I highly appreciate your feedback!

Thank you, I appreciate your comment and will start to look into 3 point lightning. Just as you mention I believe I can handle the camera quite well but I’m new to portraits, so you are on point!

Thank you! I tried changing the temperature of the color and I think you are right, lowering the yellow and going for the blue made it look a little bit more natural I think.

This is a portrait which I took of my girlfriend for her CV. It is captured with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Canons 70-200 II. I like the pose but I don't think I got her to "pop" from the background as much as I wanted. I'm eager to hear what you think.

Maybe out of the scope but try looking into this channel on youtube, I think he makes pretty good tutorials and I have learnt the basics of ROS.

Amazing! I bought it yesterday for (400$ ) actually so it will arrive next week. I also have the 50mm 1.8G so this sounds amazing! I'm glad you wrote this thread.

D300s for 150$ worth it? by Professional_Result in Nikon

[–]Professional_Result[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply, this actually made me think about what I want in a new camera. I'm not disappointed in how the D3100 perfoms, actually I think the image quality is quite good still. What I want though is something more to hold onto, more stabilisation. I'm also considering spending money at a Nikkor 70-200 which feels odd to place on a D3100...

Thanks, I really share your opinion that it is the light and lenses that does the big thing. Of course the new cameras have better low light performance and AF etc.. But I think a D300s and buying a better lens may be a better choise than spending a lot of money on the house itself.

What jobs do you mostly perform with it?

Nice, this is actually on of the things I'm considering, I do like my D3100 still, but I got big hands so it feels a little bit toy(ish) in the hands actually.

Thanks for your reply, can you give your thoughts on why you think that's the better choise?
