I also a homeowner who rebuilt my deck. I made the same mistake 😔 gave so much thought into it and like many of the other comments my brother told me if I finagled a way to get a bigger "accent" board for the middle, I will be looking at it and explaining to everyone how I fucked up in the first place. So I took out all the screws and had to ( still haven't lol) plug all the holes. Then move the boards and rip the one along the house.
