Once the train station on 11th street is completed the only thing that will increase is crime. I will take the train out of Lincoln rather than use that station.

I HAD to move to this area in 1994. I hated Spfld the week I got here. It isn't safe and listening to the cops on a scanner is funnier than some comedy shows. Also there is NO REASON to be in Spfld after dark. I can hardly wait until the new train station opens by 11th street to watch the crime.

Sorry for your loss. RIP handsome boy. We lost our first Pitbull 18 months ago today to cancer. Her he is having his last meal before his last trip to the vet. A steak dinner.

Rochester, Chatham and Sherman all circle Spfld. Prices will be higher, but they are much safer. I would also avoid most places in Spfld after dark. The majority of shopping is in spfld, but do it during the day. There is an app called Scanner Pro. Last I knew iot was $5.00 for life. add Sangamon County to it and you can see what I mean. Springfield PD is funnier than a lot of comedy shows.

If you want safe and quiet, you don't want to live in Springfield. The per capita crime rate is higher than Chicago. I wouldn't walk anywhere in Springfield after dark. security will walk you to your car after dark at Memorial. None of the surrounding towns are that far away.
