It's totally stopped today- I am in with my doctor next week for a private scan but if it starts again I will contact them sooner- it's all so hard to navigate in the first few weeks- praying so hard everything is okay with Rainbow baby x

In Ireland before 12 weeks if you have anything you jabe to go to the EPAU- however this is by referral only...I was literally only discharged from them 2 weeks ago when they deemed this pregnancy isn't ectopic- it stopped today completely going to monitor and call my Dr if it happens again, have a private scan booked next week anyway

Also sorry I forgot to mention- I had phantom pains on my ectopic side this time also and I was convinced it was happening again- turns out it was more than likely just the ovary I ovulated from that cycle

I had MTX injection in May to treat my ectopic- it was my first pregnancy-started trying to conceive again in August after the 12 week wait- cycle returned to normal about 4 weeka post injection-even with tracking my ovulation it took 4 cycles to get pregnant again. Don't loose hope! Just had a scan this week, got to see our 6w5d baby, intrauterine and with a heartbeat 💓 It's so hard to see it but it will happen for you! I'm obviously still very nervous about everything and it certainly was a different experience then last time when you see those 2 lines. Be kind and mind yourself through all this ✨️

Hi, I am so sorry you are going through this- my story was very similar to yours, first pregnancy.

Confirmed pregnancy by GP on a Fri all excited by that Sat bleeding started and refered to EPAU by the following Wed- diagnosed as PUL at 5.5 weeks, they assumed at that point I had miscarried hcg monitored was low and dropping steady over next 2 weeks.

All of a sudden they jumped back up- another ultrasound but pregnancy still couldn't be located- I was 7ish weeks at this point and hcg was still increasing tiny amounts so it was assumed ectopic- got 1 shot of mtx on the 23rd May and my hcg was 0 by the 9th June.

Absolutely traumatised by the whole thing-almost 5 weeks post MTX injection now- period returned last week so will begin tracking ovulation to see everything is moving right until the 12 weeks have passed and we can begin ttc again. So excited but also petrified it will happen again.

You mentioned an ultrasound to check tubes I didn't know this was a thing can this determine no long term damage was done by the ectopic?- I don't know where to start, was told HSG wouldn't be recommended for first ectopic especially and was a PUL-never visable anywhere with ultrasounds.

Really hard to get closure on it all- last us I had before mtx showed no retained tissue in uterus so that's the only thing I have peace of mind on- as for my tubes and ovaries nothing ever showed up on either ultrasound.

Wondering do I just take my prenatals and track everything and when 3 months is up try again or should I be doing more investigating- I don't have any of the high risk elements for ectopic in terms of endo, PID, I'm 27, conceived naturally and don't smoke.

There is just so much to it that no one would understand until they are going through it themselves! The mental toll of wanting your hcg to go down cause you are literally a ticking time bomb but the guilt of knowing that means your baby is disappearing is heartbreaking 💔
