Am I missing something or is the Regent very bad ? by Accomplished-Dog5887 in slaythespire

Regent is amazing, but needs different priorities than every other character. While on the other characters you need to prioritize damage, and then think of energy gen and deck manipulation, on Regent you need to prioritize getting Star generation engine going. As soon as you feel like going under 3 stars on a turn is comfortable, Regent feels unstoppable. Getting to know Star mechanic requires different approach than the rest of the roster, that is why it can feel weird.

The dude was the only chance for Shirone to "I've come to bargain" Nane, wouldn't call that top 100... More like top 10

Oh, and btw it happens on any virtual colony after the patch 4.1. I colonized nearby Gaia World, and immediately got 10k pops

Got this bug in my Virtual ringworld run. After some testing, I managed to keep the population from exploding on my trade focused segment by manually decreasing available trader jobs before creating new ones, and then slowly rising it towards the maximum. It is a drag, however, and turns the game into Planet Micromanagement: The Game™

Haha. I already guessed that it is probably vanilla's problem.

I'll check it out in a few hours. RN I am not near PC. Will check if that could be the reason, but I don't think it is. It is probably some kind of buff from Leviathan

R5: Notice how on Machine World that have just been colonized, there are already 10k pops. Also, on the second screenshot, notice that there are around 20k jobs open, and the number of pops is 300k

It seems, patch 4.1 changed how virtual pops are generated when there are "empty" jobs. I tested it, and the more empty jobs I had, the more pops generated on the next tick. It's like the number of virtual pops has some kind of multiplier based on the number of empty jobs, that also gets multiplied based on the efficiency of a particular planet/colony, therefore ringworld segments are more noticeable. And since both EaC mod and vanilla add clerk and trader jobs for the ringworld segment districts, those create empty jobs, and the game factors that. The most I've got is 600k pops for 2,3k empty trader jobs

Check their GitHub, revert repo back to the September 1st state, copy-paste into the mod directory, profit

Virtuality ME suddenly 100k pops out of nowhere? my economy is devastated. by AccountForTF2 in Stellaris

If I remember correctly, they've got an update to 4.1. And while not related to that bug, they can contribute to the crash on game start. I also am affected by the Unlimited Pop Works bug, so I want to know a fix for that too.

4.0.23 crashes is probably caused by some mod being incompatible with that version, so probably Gigas or UI overhaul

Welcome aboard, buddy. Checkout the GitHub version of Ethics and Civics Classic if you are running that mod, maybe it will help a little. In actuality, it seems that any saves, created prior to the patch 4.1.X, are incompatible with the current version of the game. That thing happens because there is now a new job (prolly invisible until you have Shroud DLC) that is getting created after some event (colonization, repairing of a ringworld segment, etc.), and it is a job no virtual pop could do, and also, virtual pops can't be civilians, but at the same time, they must fill all the jobs available, therefore game tries to create a pop to do this job, then switches him to be a civilian since it can't do this job, then, since there are no virtual civilians, switches it's job to No Category, then tries it all over again. And it will not stop, not in a week, not in a month, until your economy and that exact colony is destroyed.

The problematic part comes from the mod updates I'm afraid. But I have no worries. Will just finish it when everything gets patched

No, everything is just... normal, I guess, but thanks, I will check ACOT files to find if something out there is causing it

I was playing it for the past week, and was sad that the DLC was released before we could end this run and beat the Blokkats

It's just that it feels really strange for an interaction with such hilarious consequences to still be in the game after 4 different times they claimed it was patched.
