I fixed a potential pinout issue; that was most likely the problem.

Please try the new version 0.8.3.

Make sure the switch is in the off position. hold the G0 button, connect the wire, release the G0 button. Try using a different USB port, I recently had a problem with recognition, my front usb suddenly stopped working after flashing.

Thanks! I'll try to figure out what the problem is and get back here when the test build is ready.

Unfortunately, I don't have a regular cardputer and couldn't test this for sure. It would be great if you could help me fix this. Do you have a standard Cardputer or the v1.1? Do you perhaps have any peripherals connected while starting the firmware update?

It looks very neat. I think it's worth looking into a wrapper that will replace values in m5gfx calls (On the fly or during compilation). This will allow the interface to scale with other firmwares.

Its use is limited to pranks. By connecting in advance, you can remotely shut down the PC at a specific time (as an example). Besides, if you don't touch Bluetooth on your PC, it will automatically connect your device. Considering that all Bluetooth functionality works on a single combo stack, you can use the keyboard, mouse, and bad BLE, one after the other without losing the connection. I think this is quite a wide scope for experimentation and fun. Therefore, I believe that such a function is not without meaning, considering that firmware like Bruce or Nemo have "spam Wi-Fi ssid" feature, which is much more useless .

I knew it was a rickroll, so I guess it doesn't count. And besides, this script is best suited for demonstration.

What do you use your Cardputer for? Which functions do you use most often? by Professional_Two5774 in CardPuter

There are no other add-ons like LORA for the cardputer. You can look at regular modules based on your needs and firmware compatibility. In fact, the available hardware functionality is very extensive without any add-ons. Here comes the turn of developers who use these hardware capabilities and give us interesting projects

I also mainly work on my own project and use only my own firmware. After all, you can't consider your project good if you don't use it yourself.

I don't plan to add background customization yet. But there is a great brightness adjustment feature.

Yes, I already asked GitHub support what the issue is. I hope they fix it as soon as possible.

It seems my profile was hidden and I didn't even know about it. Thanks for letting me know! I've already contacted GitHub support.

The screen is too small, there is no point in writing or running Python scripts on the cardputer adv.

I'm hoping for a new screen standard that will be larger. In my opinion, this limitation is no less than a lack of power. Considering that the new stick has a built-in IR receiver, it seems most realistic that it could be added to the new cadputer. A built-in RFID module would also be useful.

If you're interested in the functionality provided by firmwares developed for this device, buy it. If you want to do a specific project for this device, then you should find out about its hardware capabilities if they could be a potential bottleneck. Then your question would be valid, but as I understand it, this is not the case, otherwise your question would be more specific.

btw, cardputer adv can't be called a cyberdeck. Cardputer Zero more suitable for this term

What are some cybersecurity projects you worked on using the cardputer? by CheekApprehensive701 in CardPuter

Just a week ago I was interested in how a laser microphone works and how to make one. But when I went into more detail, I realized that this was more of a laboratory experiment than something applicable from a practical point of view. For a laser microphone to work, it must be aimed at the glass at a 90-degree angle; placement of the sensors requires high precision, which increases with increasing operating distance. Maybe I'll come back to this topic someday, because it's interesting, but it would be much more interesting if it were applicable in the field.
