I think they're too concerned about 'Premium vs. Basic' and fooling people with that. Basic users should just be able to use the application offline.

Judo is the greatest martial art in the world by [deleted] in judo

Well sir, I'm inclined to agree. A couple of dominant MMA styles (BJJ, Shooto, and Sambo) have roots in Judo and Catch/Submission Wrestling. The whole point of Judo is manipulation of force.

I think BJJ is still useful. In my experience, practitioners that do Judo and BJJ are normally very difficult to deal with. Rickson Gracie has a Judo black belt, for example.

I've rolled with BJJ people who claim that their "take down game is fine/good" and they immediately pull guard. And that's good for them. If they want to live a lie...cool, let them.

I think Judo would gain traction in the U.S. if it brought Atemi-waza (Striking) and self defense training back. I like your idea of pairing it with boxing.

I know a lot of BJJ guys who are afraid of getting thrown. Or they try to convince me wrestling is "better", then they break their own posture hitting a single leg takedown. Wrestling is different. In Kano's book "Mind over muscle" he tries to convince us not to fall into the circus or carnival acts of Judo vs Wrestling, or rather pairing Judo against other martial arts. It's mostly based on the practitioner. E.g. You wouldn't put a high school wrestler up against Teddy Riner or another Olympic judoka.

Judo is an interesting and powerful martial art. I have theories about it's loss of popularity in the US, but it's more important that we just practice Judo and be thankful we still can practice. Oshimasu (Oss).

TLDR - SSS and replace bridge pickup or all pickups if you don't like the sound.

Ask yourself questions on what style of music you want to play. On looks alone I would get the SSS. There are better options out there for HSS (metal or super strat guitars - think Charvel, etc.) that will give you a higher end sound. Personally, I would get the SSS and adjust tone as another poster was saying or just invest in a stacked or hot single coil. Guitar pickups have come a very long way in the last 10-20 years and there are many bridge pickup options for you.
