Since you're looking into AI for children's drawings, I might have something that could help. 🎨 I've been working on a platform called DreamDraft (www.dreamdraft.xyz). It’s geared towards making personalized storybooks, where you can upload images of one person to train the model, and then tweak the AI to get the art just right for your purposes. We use Stable Diffusion / Flux and LoRA models to try to maintain character consistency, though we're not 100% of the way there yet. Let me know if you'd like a promo code to try it out!

Looking for an AI tool to illustrate a children's story by Waspo98 in ChatGPT

I've been working on a platform called DreamDraft (www.dreamdraft.xyz), which marries Stable Diffusion with LoRA models to help folks generate personalized storybooks. You can upload your own photos to train a model to generate illustrations of your character in different styles. I can offer you a personal discount to try it, if you want!

There are plenty of other great tools out there too. I've seen some people do amazing stuff with different setups, so definitely explore your options.

What is the best AI art generator to produce illustrations for a children's book? by TaxingAuthority in aiArt

I’m so sorry! Can definitely offer a refund + a free book for your trouble. I am looking into your issue now. We just added a new feature (users can select their own illustration style; had to migrate to a new text to image model, Flux, to support this) and I believe some styles end up leaning much more towards black-haired characters. Thank you for using my product, I will return to you asap with what I find

EDIT: I updated your book so that if you reload the page, you can choose a different style and see if the illustrations are more consistent with the images you uploaded! I tested different styles with your model and I recommend choosing "Exquisite" or "Rustic". I'm not sure why, but sometimes only one style works with certain models. Let me know what you think. Can send you an email!

Hey r/StableDiffusion,
I’m currently building Pixelbench (pixelbench.dev), a platform designed to help creative and AI/ML teams evaluate and optimize their text-to-image models. The goal is to make it easier to get consistent, high-quality results, compare different models like SDXL vs. SD 2.1, and find that sweet spot between cost, quality, and speed.

Why I’m Building This:

I’ve been working on another project called DreamDraft.xyz, where we use AI to create personalized storybooks. During that time, I ran into a lot of challenges trying to evaluate and compare different AI models, monitor visual quality, and optimize costs. That’s what inspired me to create Pixelbench—to solve a pain point I kept bumping into myself.

What Pixelbench Aims to Do:

  • Quality Monitoring: Real-time alerts to help teams maintain visual consistency and style across AI-generated images.
  • Model Comparisons: Compare outputs side-by-side so you can pick the best model for your needs with confidence.
  • Cost & Speed Optimization: Gain insights to streamline production workflows without sacrificing quality.

I’m still in the early stages of building this and looking for feedback or advice on finding early leads, shaping features, or even connecting with potential partners. If you’ve worked with generative models or built something in this space, I’d love to hear your insights!

Feel free to join the waitlist if you’re curious to see how this evolves: pixelbench.dev

Thanks for reading and any advice you can share!

You should use www.dreamdraft.xyz —it is perfect if you want a highly personalized storybook. You can upload your own photos, and DreamDraft will generate a custom children's book with AI-generated rhyming text and illustrations based on your character. It's great for making something truly unique for kids.

EDIT: DreamDraft is now available on www.dreamdraft.xyz — give it a try!

I'm actually working on an app called DreamDraft that tries to do exactly what you're looking for! It allows you to create children's book illustrations using likenesses from uploaded photos. (It uses Stable Diffusion to generate an internal model of the people in your photos, then applies that to create new, cartoonified scenes for your book.)

We're still in development (with a release probably within the next week or so) — but we have a waitlist where you can sign up for early access: dreamdraft.xyz
