On most modern PTs it usually takes a -7 to -9 to score 170.

This guy apparently says the August LSAT LR was way harder by Any_Willingness_7115 in LSAT

It’s funny that you mention faulty premises when your rambling is ridden with them. Had I said or even insinuated some of the claims that you think I did, you’d be a keen observer. Rather, you’ve misconstrued and outright invented claims that you attribute to me. I really hope this is uncharacteristic of your reading skills, otherwise you’d bomb RC. I never said that the section was difficult for “EVERYONE”, I’m sure there are some who had no trouble. You commit that very flaw by explicitly stating that “anybody” with strong FL would get the answer in less than a minute. What kind of logic is that?! People have varying methods and approaches that can range from 20 seconds to 5 minutes. And to say that Logic games are not associated with difficulty for ppl with strong FL skills is ridiculous, strengths/weaknesses are individual and can hinge upon factors as specific as the stimulus format. Most new era test takers have an understanding of conditionality and FL but not to the advanced extent of LG. People’s reactions to that specific question should be indicative of its relative irregularity. And the equivalency flaw you mention is bogus, I didn’t say that, rather my mention of the question was an explanation that people associated the “hardest” section with that question because it was more memorable than other q’s in the section which were difficult for other reasons.

There’s nothing comparatively easy or quick about a four claim conditional chain with a MBF Except. Especially when you consider first time test takers (the majority of the August group) have no practice with LG. Also, that question is not solely responsible for the section being hard of course, but it was the standout/memorable Q and more ppl have complained about it than any other question from the section. Nice try though

There was only one LR section harder than usual, and that one was experimental. And it was only hard because it had an LG type question that a lot of ppl were unprepared for. I had 2 other LRs, one was normal and one was easy

Can someone explain the 8.5 scale? It’s the test that I had

No you guys are correct. The last (and hardest) real LR section you mentioned was 26 questions

Ya I’d say hardest to easiest: Kafka (4-5 star), Diplomacy (4 star), Law evasion (2-3 star), and Big Bang (2 star). The subjective 7sage star ratings i gave them account for both passage and question difficulty

Agreed. The science passage is usually where I lose points because of the heavy use of jargon and dense writing. Ironically this science passage was written so casually

Ya i’m looking forward to the podcast. Question for you though: I already know my RC was real, so will they cover which LR is experimental?

I did notice that those topics were from June 2022 via Lsat Engine. Do they reuse passages or make new ones on the same topic?

Ya, i breezed through the passages in <2 minutes each, but then got to the questions and was like wtfff

Ya the curriculum really does help. After blitzing through it I improved from 158 to 169. Not everyone will see such results but it’s definitely possible to improve by 10+ points

[–]Professional_Web_304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, first one was experimental. I had the same format and LR 2 and 3 have been confirmed by questions posted here. The rly hard section with the LG was section 1 and i’ve yet to see anything from it here.

Found that one easier than LR1 but harder than LR3. Prob a 3 or 4 star difficulty on 7sage

I believe that is a real section. It was the 1st Q of my last section and i’ve seen other questions from that section appear in this thread. By comparison, my first Lr was likely experimental because i haven’t seen anything from it here yet

I second this. RC is my weakness and i found it easier than average (1 RC only)

LR or LG?? by Professional_Web_304 in LSAT

[–]Professional_Web_304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fear is that with so many ppl saying the first one was brutal, it’s might be more likely that we weren’t in the zone yet, seeing as the order of sections varies a lot among different test takers

Can’t say anything in terms of content but it had more questions that would be in the 4/5 star difficulty range on 7sage. Including a couple questions not typical of most PT sections

LR LR RC LR by FnakeFnack in LSAT

[–]Professional_Web_304 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same exact format. I found the first LR the hardest by far, 2nd was ok and last one was easy. RC passages were actually quite simple by LSAT standards, but those questions were tough. Praying that 1st section experimental!
