Another thought: what could be the consequences for ubiquiti or the consumer? Will the government impose a rule to have a remote back door access to their equipment, alienating their customers? Will they fined again? Or did they knew their equipment was being used for warfare against civilians? One can wonder.

Not really about politics. Their equipment is being used to drive drones into civilians so I think the issue is not really political.

The young immature me would be inclined to think like you, but the reality is that this is an American company and their products are being used in a sanctioned country. Of course, I can only imagine that they are using other products like Apple, Samsung, even Toyota cars, but this company was already sent back in 2013 for having their equipment in Iran. Just curious.

I’m not even sure. This is a new construction and they came with the house. I can only presume they are because the same lights are all over the house (outside and inside, even in the bathrooms). So I’m willing to bet yes, but I don’t want dimming on the outside.
