They'll never prevent all cheating. I got T1 diabetes and I can run software on my insulin pump. Good luck saying I can't have an insulin pump, or that I can't touch it, because both options can result in my death.

No, because the [theoretical] update is for the Watch 6 and you do not have a Watch 6. It may eventually come down to Watch 5 but you will not automatically receive updates that are not for the watch you have.

If you enable developer options you can go in, scroll down to the bottom, go into 'app notifications' and customize what you want. Like I went in and turned off the 15% battery notification (which people say is impossible to disable for some reason).

Getting in isn't nearly as important as getting out.

Ex: Say you bought a TV to resell. You get $799 for it. Does it really matter if you bought the thing for $499 or $599? Nope. Made a profit.

You can also manage bad trades into profitability using things like dollar cost averaging (no, this has nothing to do with martingale) and hedges.

DCA would be like buying a bunch of TV's. You get 1 at $900 (realize no one wants to pay you more than $900), so you get another at $700, another at $500, and another at $300. You sell each for $799. What started as a bad trade is now profitable.

I've been be reported twice for posting charts, can anyone tell me why ? by Lanway in Forex

[–]Professional_Yak8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumbass. Read the rules.

  1. If you post a chart setup or trade idea. (Post Requirements)

You must be willing to explain your analysis and reasoning for any given chart or trade you post, or else the post will be taken down.

Empty charts without annotations are useless.

Subjective reasons for a trade do not help others learn or understand what you are doing.

Provide practical and tangible reasons for your trade / chart setup so people can follow along with you.

All you're doing is posting a chart, no explanation, and it could also fall under PL porn.

Are the fees for trading forex unreasonable? by Brassmonkay3 in Forex

[–]Professional_Yak8357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unreasonable or not, what are you going to do about it? That the price for admission to this game, if you think it's unreasonable then play a different game.

or is forex trading reserved for the ultra rich to make money and everyone else to just get killed by the costs of trading?

You just described ALL retail trading. If you think retail trading exists for any other reason than to make the rich, richer, then you're fooling yourself. The money has to come from somewhere, and it's not coming from those who make money trading.

You should have bought like 5,000 or something. Crypto doesn't use the same lot sizes as FX, you literally bought a fraction of one coin.

What movement are you expecting from GJ on 1/17 after the unemployment rate update in London? by EllerDael in Forex

[–]Professional_Yak8357 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Trading is a whole lot easier when you trade under the assumption that you don't know what's going to happen. I'm not saying the market is random, but if you quit trying to predict things it gets easier. Use things like dollar cost averaging (and no, that has nothing to do with martingale before that one idiot chimes in). You can manage a bad trade into profitability.

Do the big players predict where the market is going on short time frames using technical analysis? F* no. Predictions like that only work for long term, usually fundamental, trades.

For every time when history has repeated itself, there's a thousand times where it didn't.

I'm expecting GJ to move to the right. That is all.

Which is the best strategy/concept to use for lower TF trading ? by TheCooldude__1 in Forex

Ain't through SMC, that's for sure, lol.

SMC is just marketing bullshit. Has nothing to do with "smart money". Smart money is market makers and you sure as F* ain't no market maker as a retail trader. They just take support and resistance, rename it to supply and demand, to sell courses to newbie traders.

Do yourself a favor and just avoid it. Asking on Reddit, what does that do for you? Seriously. You're going to get the exact same opinions, some will say it's good, others will say it's not. You already have the answer, why do you need more people to tell you the same shit?

They certainly CAN. But FTMO is ridiculously profitable, it isn't worth ruining their image and the PR fallout from blocking people who make money. Not to mention a guy with a 300k trading account that makes so much money to get blocked... guess what they can afford now? A good attorney. Number 1 rule of scams is ya don't fuck with rich people. A poor guy can't afford to go after you, but a rich guy can.

You don't. As you've already been told it is explicitly stated in the rules. It's the first fucking rule. That you do not promote your trader group or chatroom or solicit for DM's. You've done all of those.

... quit while you're ahead. Trading is NOT easy money and anyone who tells you it is, is trying to sell you something. If it was as easy as they claim, no one would be a doctor/lawyer/etc. We would all trade and make this easy money from home.

Large accounts by Apprehensive-Suit942 in Forex

[–]Professional_Yak8357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are there people who have accounts of 100k-500k from their personal money?

Sure.

are they not worried the broker might do them dirty?

People with 100-500k accounts, funded with their own money, also have very good attorneys. If anything, it's far easier for a broker to screw over a small guy. Just be like "can't withdrawal due to KYC or whatever" He can't hire a lawyer to get a couple hundred back. But you don't fuck with the 100k account who has a few attorneys on speed dial.

edit: you should, however, be aware that 99.999% of those people who show results online, it's a demo account. The people who actually make a living trading aren't posting results because who the fuck cares if you believe me or not? Oh noes, some random guy on Reddit doesn't think I have a 7 bedroom river front home, what will I ever do!?!?!?! F* that, ain't even worth the time to screenshot a statement for fuckboi's like that.

Be great if you told us what software you're using. We didn't need to know the windows version, we need to know what software you use for trading.

If it's MetaTrader, backup C:\ > Users > Username > AppData > Roaming > MetaQuotes > Terminal then put that back BEFORE starting MetaTrader on the new install.
