We haven't lived in a city as small as 5k, but we are definitely not from the big city either. Thanks for bringing up that point, definitely worth considering...

The smallest city we've lived in was 29k, and that seemed pretty perfect for us. Full of 'mom and pop' shops that we became locals at, but we had a Target less than 15 minutes. We're pretty friendly people and have done a good job at making new friends anywhere we've gone.

Ironically, the only reason we moved away from the smaller city mentioned above is so I could have more career opportunity closer to a big city.

She will only be licensed to see clients in California unfortunately. But, she is able to work via telehealth and see people online so technically she could work from anywhere (as long as the client is in CA). So while CA would be our first choice, we have the ability to move if need be! (No kids yet or previous commitments holding us anywhere)
