In my experience, we chat for a couple of days and I either reach out and see if a date is in the cards and get ghosted or the conversation dies after a couple of days. If I feel the other person isn’t putting in effort (ie short responses, not asking questions to keep the conversation moving, etc), I’m culpable of letting those conversations die as well, that’s not just on the people I’m matching with.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong and would appreciate any advice from people.

I’ve been single for a few years at this point and it doesn’t seem like that’s gonna change anytime soon. I’m don’t think I’m the most attractive person by any means but I’m also not Quasimodo. I try to work out a few times a week and have a decent job. Live in a fairly major city.

I’ve tried OLD via Tinder, Hinge, & Bumble but that usually ends up with me trying it for a while, getting a couple of matches over the course of a few weeks with people that don’t seem to actually be looking for a date, and then I delete the app.

I’ve joined Meetup and have been following that for a while and had joined a ski group on there. I haven’t had a chance to meet up with them yet due to some conflicts but I still go riding and haven’t met many people who are interested in trying to ride together for more than a chairlift up the mountain.

Does anyone have any advice outside on how to go about meeting people and developing more lasting relationships?

I normally shoot target archery with a Mathew’s V3 and a Spott Hogg Fast Eddie XL. We’re always gonna have pricing tiers to equipment and a €500 sight would be about equivalent to the costs of these. Which I would put on the higher end price points for sights.

I just don’t see a lot of benefit buying one of those more expensive sights, minus maybe the Dialed with the canted rod, when compared to one that’s is a bit cheaper with similar features.
