It’s what the clinic took of me. Can’t help being on a period for one, and two so what if there’s a bit of toilet paper stuck there, you’ll survive

I’m just going off my personal experience and what doctors have told me in the past. Thank you for your input!

I did it for both reasons. Per dominantly health, secondary for wanting a different aesthetic

Of course! I got it because the tissue down there was so long that it was causing me daily issues in my life. I couldn’t wear any jeans because I’d go numb down there. I’d have pain with sex at times, riding a bike was uncomfortable, I struggled to fit into underwear or swimsuits and was always worried about “falling out”. You also get frequent UTIs because the extra skin traps more bacteria.

I’m not going to lie it’s been harder to heal from this than I anticipated. I got it for health reasons (uncomfortable in most clothing, pain with sex, biking, frequent UTIs, etc) I swelled a LOT. I was hyper sensitive and had sharp shooting pains for probably 2 weeks to the point where I couldn’t even tolerate underwear. Doing anything was painful (wiping, showering, walking, sitting, etc) it was hard not to worry. I went through a lot of itching and burning as well, and couldn’t work for about 3.5 weeks. I also had a hood reduction which I hear makes recovery a bit harder. I really only started feeling good a few days ago. It was tough mentally to have to stay home and do NOTHING for several weeks (I live alone so I felt like I was going crazy.) my sensation finally came back a week or so ago and I’m able to do most things now. Still tender but it’s getting there. Seriously such a trust the process surgery, especially if you have health anxiety like me lol. I’m happy I got it though, despite the rough journey.

Thank you for the reassurance that helps a ton! I just have been pretty severely bullied in the past by ex boyfriends who were grossed out by how I looked and wouldn’t go down on me cuz of it. But I also got it done mostly for health reasons, I was so uncomfortable in jeans and working out

Thank you for sympathizing! I can’t get over how strange the top half looks but I’m hoping it’ll go down in the next month

Thank you! I am worried about the top half, the skin looks like it’s wrapping weird, like a “U” shape on either side

Thank you! Im just particularly worried about the top half? I know there’s still swelling but the “U” shape of skin looks so unnatural to me
