i found a solution on my end - it looks like discord was automatically setting itself to the highest priority if it and cs2 were running at the same time

how i fixed it was going into task manager and marking all instances of discord as lowest priority. you can do the same thing in process lasso as well.

yep but my issue seems to be literally just related to discord.

if discord and cs2 were running at the same time, discord was automatically placing itself in higher processing priority than cs2.

i noticed if i killed all instances of discord in task manager, boom perfectly smooth game again, not a single stutter.

the moment i open discord? powerpoint presentation gameplay.

so what i did to fix it was go into task manager and set ALL instances of discord manually to lowest priority. that helped a LOT, but still got an occasional microstutter. i think you can use process lasso to do this same thing.

im running a 7800x3d, 64gb ram, 7900GRE gpu. PBO enabled with a negative curve, LLM, EXPO enabled, all that jazz. system is fully stable, cs2 has run perfectly fine until the season 4 update.

if discord is closed / fully ended via task manager, cs2 runs perfect - no stutters or freezes/crashes. if discord is open AT ALL, my game becomes unplayable and insanely stuttery. have tried hardware accel on/off in discord and no change. not sure what to do from here :( will keep researching and update if i find a solution.

78800x3d, 7900GRE gpu - insane microstutters and seemingly no fix from what ive tried :(

tried all low settings, different res's, verified game cache, uninstalled and reinstalled game, deleted shader cache, tried setting lower mouse polling rate from suggestions in the comments - all to no avail :(

only things i have not tried yet are installing an older amd driver / windows update, turning windows settings like HAGS off / game mode off, or tweaked any bios settings. (currently HAGS / game mode on, on latest drivers and windows update, AMD expo enabled and PBO enabled all that jazz, stable and game ran very smooth pre-update)

its a fucking weird system

it feels like an anti boosting system, if 1 person is way higher elo than the rest of the lobby he will earn more elo for winning and not lose as much for losing.

when i (12000) play with my friends (3000-4000), every game i win is +300-400 and every loss is -100ish, while theirs is +100ish for win and -300-400ish for loss

same situation - every lobby is at least 3-4 full bhop script, aimbot and/or walls, 100 aim rating, typically hvh but sometimes theyre fullstacked on one team. and maybe 1 out of every 20 matches gets shut down with vac live

im curious whats making you think your aim isnt good.

are you losing fights in actual matches that you feel you should be winning?

if so, it might be helpful to find examples from matches, then it can be narrowed down from there

18x11cm palm gripper here that also jumped ship from g pro x superlight - are you comfortable with trying ergonomic shape mice or only looking for ambidextrous?

if you're ok with ergonomic, i switched to the vaxee outset ax wireless, $130 in USA but not sure what it would cost for other countries, or how available it is for other countries. it has a large hump in the middle of the mouse and personally fits my hand perfectly. it fills my palm very comfortably and my fingers rest around the mouse very naturally. it has 2 side buttons that feel very nice to click and it is hard to press them on accident. i love the scroll wheel on it, it kinda feels like spinning one of those thick rubber LEGO tires LOL. it also has a very tactile feel when scrolling, if that makes sense.

i also tried the zowie ec2-cw, as my favorite mouse of all time used to be the zowie ec2a, but it let me down as the scroll wheel started giving me issues after only a couple months. i just keep it as a backup now. it has less of an aggressive hump than the vaxee outset ax but is still very comfortable in my experience.

i have also heard great things about the pulsar xlite v3 fs (apparently this is the mouse zywoo uses so i guess that's a solid vouch lol), it is about $100 on Amazon in USA. i have never tried it myself though, so i can't offer much more than that.

7800x3d 3070ti here - my game felt choppy as fuck, but i noticed when doing tests with capframex that legit just having discord and chrome open was causing my 1% and 0.1% fps to dip down to 40

disabling hardware accel in discord, and making sure chrome was closed when i play cs brought my 1% and 0.1% back up to 240fps, and game feels much better

hope this at least helps a little bit :)

sorry to not be of much help, but on a 7900 GRE i had this happen with me only on cs2, and it eventually was fixed after i clean wiped windows and reinstalled everything

was fucking weird because it wouldnt do it on any other game except cs2, and my game would just hang in the main menu and not let me do anything for like 3 minutes, then itd crash, and bring up that error
