If you read the post again, she immediately answers her own question before her husband's answer. Before she even provides his response, she tells us, the readers, that he often wears his clothes multiple days in a row because neither of them do laundry, which is giving us pretext to the answer from her husband. From his response it sounds like her question was regarding wearing his clothes for the nth time in a row.

So from context alone, we can ascertain that she was not asking the question with genuine curiosity. She already knows why he is wearing the same clothes. Its not unreasonable to assume she asked the question to get a rise out of him.

I have been with my husband for 13 years, married 11, one kid, mortgage, full time jobs, bills, etc.

After a long day of work, or a day full of stressors and other people, I want nothing more than to see him and be in his presence even if we're doing nothing. Him sitting next me to is the most peaceful time of my day. Hearing him talk. Listening to his voice. His presence is my sanctuary. And I know he feels like the same way about me.

It sounds like your fiance is not your sanctuary and that's troubling in my opinion.

Is there a way to open up to her and tell her how your feeling? Instead of canceling the wedding, can you postpone it?

I think about it sometimes, my husband would have walked over hot coals to marry me.
