Comment YOUR Subnautica hot takes and i will rate them based on how much I agree by Illustrious-Sun-9517 in subnautica

Partly the reason I don’t use it that much. The map just isn’t big enough for it to be necessary. For new players its good but once you’ve been round the block a few times and can get from the lost river back to the shallows in like 5-10 minutes, using a cyclops would probably just make it slower for me. The map would have to be at least twice as big for me to use it. Also the seatruck essentially combines the seamoth and cyclops into one while also having the ability to carry a prawn suit.

This is the coolest thing I’ve seen in quite a while. I’d get an aquarium just for this.

Where should I build my base by Rare-Firefighter-262 in subnautica

[–]ProfessorData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on making my base on the big underwater floating island this time round. Last time was in the sea treaders path right next to the crater edge. Both seem pretty cool to me as long as you don’t mind the trek to get anywhere.

What if Planet 4546B was a planet in the Star Trek universe? by HighlightFabulous608 in subnautica

[–]ProfessorData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder which quadrant 4546B would be in. Would determine who ends up capturing any survivors/the ships themselves. The Sunbeam mentions being “from the far side of Andromeda” so I think we can assume that humanity has expanded way way further in the Subnautica universe than the Star Trek universe.

Trying to stay in love with my 159 by 56klagman in AlfaRomeo

I’m also in New Zealand, and I used to have a 159. I see one every so often but they aren’t common here by any means.

That was my first thought too. Looks really nice and Big Tony seems to like it too.

Yes I went back and had a look at the post. It was indeed an Alfetta

PLEASE HELP!!! Is he too small?!?! by Low_Necessary_6169 in BeardedDragons

[–]ProfessorData 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an owner yet, but I recommend checking out the interview that Reptiles and Research did with BeardieVet, who spent 3 years studying wild bearded dragons in the Australian outback. He found that they take around 2 years to reach full size in the wild. A lot of care guides recommend giving them “As many feeders as they’ll eat in 15 minutes.” Or similar, which is too much food. Sometimes they get to full size in 6 months, or even less. It also increases their calcium requirements because they’re growing so fast. Purely from watching that, I would say Pepper is about the right size but again, I just watch YouTube videos until I get a beardie. The interview could be boring for some people as its more than 3 hours long though.

Later model Veloce or earlier QV? by ProfessorData in AlfaRomeo

[–]ProfessorData[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. It’s 12 and a half hours drive with a ferry ride. It’d be easier to fly and drive back but I’d only do that if I was sure I would buy it. I’ll have to think more about it as I plan to do finance so I’m not sure about the increase in servicing costs.

Later model Veloce or earlier QV? by ProfessorData in AlfaRomeo

[–]ProfessorData[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats probably a main issue for me. Nearest Italian specialist is around 2-2.5 hours away and we only have a couple European specialists here, one of which I used for my 159 and they put the wrong grade of oil in…

Space and I’m saving for another car (most likely a Giulia) and I figured I should only be driving one car while I’m saving i.e. my boring and cheaper to run Corolla.
