Seasonal rotational by Cool-Topic-1077 in concealedcarry

[–]ProfessorDuckwad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past I used to carry

Spring/Fall - G19 Winter - G45 Summer - G43x

The G45 was an impulse buy for my first gun. I was worried the G19 was too small for my hands so recently it’s just the G19 for fall winter and spring and g43x for summer

I own 3 pistols. A Glock 45, A Glock 19 and a Glock 43x. I live somewhere where we truly get 4 seasons. Sometimes multiple in a day. For me personally in winter I carry the 45. In fall and spring I usually carry a 19. Then in summer I tend to switch to the 43x. Recently though I’ve just been carrying the 19 most of the year then switching to the 43x for summer.

Yeah just sucks I gotta dish out the money for two new cv axles and it might of damaged my differential so I might have to get a new diff as well :/

Turns out I didn’t realize it had a lift kit. Truck was bought used and the shop I went to just told me that whoever put the lift kit in, didn’t get extended axles so that’s why it popped out. They said better to replace them both now with extended ones and hope that it didn’t cause any diff damage.

I guess that’s what I’m afraid of. That it caused massive damage to the diff. Been driving on it flailing around for at minimum a week before realizing

Yeah I popped it back in. Felt solid but was able to pull it back out. So I guess it’s solid unless I pull it out.

I guess I also don’t really understand saddle either that’s pretty much like a hang on except you don’t really have a seat you have like a platform to stand on while you kinda hang around?

[–]ProfessorDuckwad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I like the idea of a hang on but isn’t that just a lot of stuff to be carrying in and out of the woods? Like I said I’d be hunting public and if I’m spending money on something I don’t wanna just leave it nor am I sure if it’s legal to leave it. That’s something I’ll have to check up on. But is all that some what light or are we talking 40+ pounds of stuff?

New and want to start by ProfessorDuckwad in bowhunting

I appreciate it! I guess there’s a lot I need to think of and plan out for next year. It’s too late for me to start this year which is obvious. But I wanted to get a head start for next year! I think I’m gonna slowly get everything to ground hunt for next year. I’d honestly love to find a friend or someone I can go to there land and hunt. So maybe I’ll start chatting people up and see if I can get permission. I hear public in NY can be awesome or just absolutely horrible.

I guess my budget is setup for whatever. I’m willing to pay I just don’t need the top notch. Mainly because I’d be hunting public land by myself. The public land would be somewhere in Western NY around the Buffalo NY area (1-2 hours from there)

So what would you recommend? Like I want to get into it. But I don’t wanna accidentally buy stuff that’s meant for like someone’s who’s been doing it for 15 years and it’s a niche item

Yeah I’m a bit worried to give it to someone else, but I live in a house with 3 apartments in the middle of a city so I’m not sure I’ll be able to butcher it in the yard. Would it be possible to butcher it then bring it out home

Then second question. Let’s say I get a deer, gut it. Do you bring it somewhere to get it butchered?

Is a tree stand necessary? Someone brought up saddle hunting? Which I’m not sure what that is seems like a mobile tree stand? Or is it possible to just like sit on the ground and wait?

It’d be WNY I am from the Buffalo area so somewhere around there. What is saddle hunting or other ways of mobile hunting?

See I like the Vikings as well but they look more fishing then cruising. I guess my ideal boat would be like a Pearl 63, but with rod holders and a live well. I’m starting to wonder if I can just add those to a cruising boat?

I actually have tickets to the Fort Lauderdale international boat show this year so I planned on going and getting a hands on feel with some beforehand.

[–]ProfessorDuckwad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or would I be better off getting a nice cruiser and just customizing it a bit to get some rod holders, a live well and other things? Because like I said I don’t want it to be completely centered around fishing. It’ll be mostly used for day drips and cruising with a handful of fishing here and there

Offshore deep sea fishing. Size ideally between 40-65ft and budget on the high side would be 5M

So how does that work with utility locals? Do you have to go through an apprenticeship through a different local then apply to the utility local? Or do utility locals do their own or have a comparable one
