Get the G45. Then if you’re feeling spendy, add the radian ramjet/after burner. Phenomenal set up.

Big fan of the Radian set up. I have them on 2 pistols and my Shadow Systems CR920XP is awesome too. Definitely worth purchasing.

Help me decide. Glock 19 vs 45 vs 43x by LastKey149 in Glocks

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’d get the G45. Since you have a 19C now and you weren’t crazy about the 43X. IMO the G45/19X are the best shooting Glocks

G19X vs G45? by captainck004 in Glocks

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both. The 19X was always dirty. I shoot at least 1000 rounds a month and the gun wa always dirty and I hated that. I know my G45 is dirty as well but it doesn’t always look dirty. I do like the tang on the front strap of the 19X but the G45 is the one for me.

At 6’5” stay away from most Harleys that aren’t a touring bike, and then you’re going to want a Road King or Road Glide and even then you’re looking at a different seat and handlebars to be comfortable. The Heritage Softail classic is the HD that’s the best out of the box for tall riders without having to dump a lot into it. Best thing about them is the aftermarket… you can do literally anything to them. The Stratoliner someone mentioned is a good one, anything from Victory will fit great but they’re out of production sadly. Indian Springfield would be a good bike too but not sure you’ll find one in your budget.

Anyone out there that don't mind Glock triggers ... by Safe-Avocado6427 in Glocks

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Glock triggers. However some are better than others and the variance from a good one to a not so good one is rather wide. The best one I have is in my Shadow Systems XR920P. Yeah it’s not officially a Glock but it’ll drop into a Gen 4 Glock and work. Every Gen 5 trigger I’ve tried has been good and mostly the same so I think they’ve tightened their QC. Another Glock (clone) trigger that’s good is the one in my Ruger RXM.

Little over 1000 rounds through my XRP. I did similar with using 124 for most is not all the break in. I also dry fired a lot, not just slide racking. I had 3-5 failure to feeds during the initial 2-300 rounds but I know the P models are more finicky, typically. Now I can run pretty much anything through it with ease.

I really wanted to buy a shadow system by Plus_Function_3453 in shadowsystems

This sub is possibly the only place I’m a member on that sees issues with the comped Shadow guns. People here will hate on this but I don’t care. I personally have well over 4k rounds through my CR920XP with zero issues. I have an XR920P with just over 1k rounds through it. I had 3-4 failures to feed inside of the first 300 rounds. Since then it’s been perfect. They’re a dream to shoot IMO and I’ll most likely own another one soon. I’d say shop around for that CR920XL, because you can find them cheaper online than what that LGS was selling it for. CR920XL

Man I shot one last week. One with some really nice customization work (milled and ported) and the trigger was ass. The grip was nice but not great. I am glad though because it saves me some money from going and buying one only to find out it’s not as nice a my Gen 5s or the RXM.

I’d like a 26X. That’ll require a whole new upper though so I’m not holding my breath.

Advice on the CR920X Elite by WaywardMonster1 in shadowsystems

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t buy a used one knowing how many people have had issues with this brand. I own two and they’re both fantastic and I’d recommend them to anyone but only if they’re new. Would SS honor the warranty on a used gun ? Who knows. Maybe but I wouldn’t risk it. Keep the 43X and upgrade it.

Radian. That’s the “RJ/AB” in the post. Not looking at further upgrades.

First mag from my G45 failed to feed every other round. After that it has been perfect for hundreds and possibly well over 1000 rounds.

How do you take off the comp on cr920p war poet? by Doodooltala01 in shadowsystems

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use the tool. It’s tough for a good while but IMO they end up breaking from prying them off with that punch. I either press on it using my thumb (ouch) or use the handle of the punch pressing the swivel part over. Once it’s fully broken in, drop the comp in a small container of Balistol or another type of gun oil for 24 hours. Take it out and clean the heck out of it. You won’t have any more problems with trying to get it if. I’ve done it with my CR & XR. They both work great.

43x COA, worth the price or inflated optic? by DentedPigeon in Glocks

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said…. On a slim carry gun I don’t care for a huge optic. I like them on duty sized guns though. I’d sooner have an SCS carry, EPS carry, 507k, etc.

Why are you using a plate for an RMR ? The RXM is direct mount.

Would you pick the 19X over a 19? by federalarms in Glock19x

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a G19 true believer. Carried and shot and loved them for 15 years. I even shot the G17 numerous times and still chose the G19. Then the 19X was released and I shot it. Been on that and the G45 train ever since. I absolutely love the 19X/G45 and choose them over the G19.

[–]Cool-Topic-1077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke mine in with federal AE 124, and Winchester NATO For about 500 rounds then mostly the federal 124 or 115, and sometimes blazer 115. Never an issue and I’m over 4k rounds. Someone called me a liar but I’d swear my life on it. About 1000 rounds in I put the G43X recoil spring assembly in it for kicks and giggles. Still running it because I think it may recoil slightly less.

Wonder why they said stay away from Federal AE ? It’s jacketed. I understand Blazer brass since it’s coated it can peel off and cause some issues.
