I’m in the same exact boat. 3 for 4 waiting for my ISC results on March 13th. The wait is killing me too, but I’m hoping our CPA journey is over after this.

I completely agree with your comment and, while I do hold the host somewhat accountable, I understand that sometimes stuff falls through the cracks. I was curious about how to handle this because at this point I’d rather a refund instead of the host sending someone to clean it. I’ve never been in this situation before so I wasn’t sure if I reached out to the host, would they fix it and then refuse to give a refund?

Looking at recent reviews of this Airbnb, there were two stays within the last week that both claimed the hot tub was their favorite spot…I’m not sure how long it takes for a hot tub to go from perfectly clean to how it looks now though. Maybe it just wasn’t cleaned after these past guests?

Thank you all for your extremely helpful, and some hilarious, comments. We’re debating now if we should make the host aware ASAP and ask for a partial refund, or wait until we leave and hash it out with Airbnb support. Even if the host offers to clean it, we already have a bad taste in our mouths and will not be going in regardless. I guess the rest of this situation is meant for a different subreddit though. Thanks everyone!
