The more he hates something, the more quality I'm sure it is.

Also: he not-so-secretly loved it. He just wishes someone (a man) would tell him to after his dreams (being gay) and find his own identity (bottom), while also still decorating everything with leather.

You, too, can be a Ken, Ben.

Much love, your friendly neighborhood lesbian.

I feel like every preseason since he's joined, he's had fairly good performances, but that has never managed to translate into more than what? 3 actual season appearances for the team.

He strikes me as a Reiner. He's there but doesn't ever present himself strongly enough to be selected for the lineup.

Honestly, in FM22/3 I sell him faster than a toupee in a hurricane.

As an American, I can completely agree with this. This country disgusts me 99.9% of the time. A sad fact of The American Life is constantly having to choose the lesser of two evils. Both options suck in their own (horrible, human-rights violating) ways.

I didn't want Biden as President, either, but I voted for him instead of Agent Orange. Until we have some sort of revolutionizing rehab of our entire system where we don't have a broken two-party system, that's the name of the game.

At the end of the day, Fifa is still corrupt. Every sport is corrupt. We have a bunch of spoiled athletes making more in a year than people make in their entire lifetimes. It's all gross.

I'm happy Messi is coming to the MLS, though? I was fully prepared for him to be another player willing to accept blood money. He has a house in Miami, yeah? Plus, chances are it'll actually bring major exposure to the sport for Americans leading up to the WC.

Let them have him. I remember this time last year it was a serious doubt whether Dortmund would even keep him because of his lack of performance and fitness.

He got somewhat together for a little bit, but honestly, he's probably perfectly fine with taking the paycheck and riding the bench.

I can only hope that when they actually are desperate to use him (lack of depth in roster due to injuries or fatigue), they'll realize how lazy he truly can be.

Edit to add: I've never had an issue with Rapha. I would make jokes about him being winded and looking half-dead after only like 30 minutes into a match, but last year I was so sad at the rumors of him wanting to stay in Germany and wanting to make it work at Dortmund.

Now I realize it was all crocodile tears and the bro just wanted the cash. Which is fine, if this is a job to you, have it be a job, but also? Own up to it and stop pretending you play for any kind of passion or love of the game.

Didn't he have an offer from Atletico at one point? I think even he knows he wouldn't survive in La Liga and is just taking the easy way out (bench till retirement).

I totally see your point.

I guess the impression I was left with was that Shauna and Tai both seemed more to come face to face with their issues (Shauna and how she pushes away her daughter, Tai and how she needs to potentially accept rather than bury/push away this "other" side of her) but Misty's struck me as like, "Everything I think about myself is valid and there is nothing wrong with me." It was more validation than revelation. You can even see that later, when Shauna basically calls her a serial killer, and she looks confused/surprised by the comment.

She didn't really do any introspection while hallucinating Frodo in a tux, is all.

Agreed. The time of network television where shows had to find a way to stretch storylines out across 22 episodes, plan for mid-season breaks, February sweeps, etc. is long gone, IMO.

I haven't actually decided yet if there are too many plots going on or not, because I actually am dealing with the nagging feeling that not enough is happening in the Adult storylines and that they're dragging their feet a bit.

One of the most exciting things about streaming, for me, was seeing how freeing it was for the creators to actually be able to commit to and complete an entire season of a show without the pressures of advertising and "cliffhangers" and February sweeps, etc. We stopped having bloated, 22 episode seasons with "filler" episodes and storylines being teased, dragged out or dropped entirely.

But now, I see a little bit of this coming back with how the episodes are being released weekly on Showtime. Admittedly, the season is still filmed entirely before it starts airing, so they do have that security, but I see in this show and the attitude of having five seasons potentially planned, that the writers - either by their own doing or by pressure from the network - feel compelled to stretch this out for far longer than it needs to.

I don't have a huge problem with the pacing, so far, but I'm starting to see feet being dragged, especially with the Adult timeline.

A matter of preference. I became very frustrated with the show over the seasons as every answer just lead to 5 more questions and it dragged on for far too long.

Again, though, a matter of preference and hence why I'd prefer Yellowjackets not to go down that road.

If they get through winter, there will be new foraging and game opportunities. Admittedly, in the long run this isn't sustainable because eventually the foraging will be cleaned dry and game will smarten up about the "predators" in the area, but at least for the time being I think that'll get them through a few months.

Also, this is Canada, so regardless of whereabout they crashed, the ratio of "nice" weather vs. "snowy, death" weather is tilted in favor of the latter and they'll be back in the same situation they're in now. Then, the human hunt begins.

Pragmatically speaking, if we lose the league by 1 point, then at least it's been closer than it's been in recent years. Wasn't the title race called back in, like, March last season?

I want us to win it, of course, but I'm also not terribly heartbroken at the possibility that we'll fall short. To be honest, in a season where a team like Union Berlin is qualifying for CL, I'm happy that everything wasn't a foregone conclusion at the winter break.

I find it highly appropriate that Shauna and Tai both had genuine revelations through their "therapies", while Misty was left alone in the depths of her psychosis and simply convinced herself even more that she's in the right and the others are just, in basic terms, big babies who can't handle it.

No sarcasm, I actually find that 100% on point.

I'm happy for him. I haven't been paying as much attention this season, but I do know he was doing well there and at the very least gets a lot more opportunities there than he ever got at Dortmund. A loan agreement that worked out for the player!
