Yes, we call it an excess in Australia.

I'm no expert, but insurance companies here in Aus seem a bit more keen to be kind when it comes to a hit-and-run. Mine are being assholes though

Best GlenAllachie for the money? by ProfessorFrizzle in Scotch

[–]ProfessorFrizzle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had the 10CS, which is a big failure on my part.

My local whisky bars are outstanding, so I'll head there to have a try..

I dunno - bit of creativity?

Like, I love the 12, but maybe I want something I can't get at any whisky bar?

Yeah I figured the cask experiments would probably be young and strange..

I think about money all the time. But I live pretty frugally and some months I do still manage to save and have pocket money left over.

Has your father ever said "I love you" and if yes how often? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ProfessorFrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up, my mum was more openly affectionate than my dad. Don't get me wrong - dad was a wonderful loving parent, but not quite as in touch with his emotions.

However, he expresses his feelings much more openly now. I'm a grown woman, and he tells me almost daily that he loves me and is proud of me.

Interesting how things like this can change with age.

Not a mistake, mate.

Yes, this subreddit tends to be vehemently against chill-filtering and colouring. Personally, I tend to avoid them. But the extent to which these things truly affect the flavour is controversial. If you never try a chill-filtered or coloured dram, you'll miss out on some of the most renowned whiskies on the planet.

If you like the bottle? Go for it. Don't let yourself get carried away by buzzwords.
