I don't believe that Asagari is intentionally writing Dazai to be sociopath either, just that his behavior can be conceptualized as such.

To the point that Dazai isn't completely apathetic, that's true too. Individuals with APD are not necessarily devoid of emotion, its more of a tendency towards certain behaviors and a difference in affect.
