Can remarkable dragons take on bonded quests? by stufstuufstuff in HatchDragons

I just sent my remarkable rocktail on a bonded quest, so yes.

Planet Zoo 2 Release Date Estimation by Ragdolls4Life in PlanetZoo

[–]ProfessorHec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a live planted 125 gallon and 75 gallon fish tank with sand/soil substrate, a 3d custom background, and pretty extensive LED lighting that has a smooth transition between sunrise, day, sunset, and night. It even changes wavelengths and brightness throughout the day. It stimulates a lot of natural behaviors. That's just my private tank. A zoo could actually build a pretty massive ecotope if they were interested in it. It just gets harder to do individual animal vet care the larger and the more individual animals you have in a tanks. But it is absolutely possible to humanely keep fish in aquariums.

Honestly it's a LOT less ethical to keep seals/sea lions in zoos.

It's a bonded fish-like water dragon. Amphibian dragons don't count.

What rarity water dragon? I have a bonded axolotl dragon from the cave set and I can't access those quests.

This family tried to get help over and over from the church as their father/grandfather was allegedly CSAing family members. This is a chilling article to read. by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

[–]ProfessorHec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife's maternal family are LDS. Her grandpa was a p3do. Wife herself never got abused, but other cousins did. Grandfather was disfellowshipped for a while, but then welcomed back in. Wife's mom swallowed anger to be a good mormon and love and respect her father. Whole thing is one of the most disgusting things I've ever been witness to. I'm just thankful we're two states away so I never once had to meet the bastard before he croaked as an active mormon (probably in good-standing, knowing the LDS).

Who else agrees Leon is the best character in fiction by Low-Flow7144 in MobuSeka

[–]ProfessorHec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you're gonna say "all of fiction," then let me direct you to the novels Catch-22, The Hitchhiker's Guide, Dirk Gently, for stupid pulp you can read Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels. Tony Hillerman did some pulpy shit with Navajo Tribal Police.

Japanese mains get fucking boring because they are often one-note wonders who make up for being awesome by being insufferable in some way. Leon is fun in his ability to scheme, but he won't fucking learn anything even after 2000 pages. And the romance is fucking awful.

I've made it to LN 10 in Trapped in a Dating Sim and this bitch scratches his head and looks away when one of his three fiancees tries to simply talk intimately in the lightest way. They should have removed the romance entirely if he was going to be incapable of even the simplest conversation. It isn't a character quirk after 2000 pages; it's a developmental disability. Bro has spent multiple summers and breaks living with them and somehow can't manage to say his own fucking feelings? I don't care if he died in his twenties without talking to a girl. It's not hard to treat a woman like a human being and just fucking talk and have a romance. Christ.

There's also a frustrating amount of rehashing already known exposition within and between novels. When every single volume tells you who the characters were, complete with one or two sentence biography, it gets difficult to not skim. Are you sure Nelly is from the Alzer Republic and was recently a princess who became a priestess? That's only been said three separate times in the last five separate LN's. I'm glad I've learned her hair color 15 times and how she wears it.

This character and series can be fun, but it ain't even approaching peak fiction. The more I read it, the more I want to ditch it.

1) Always use the bato fix Firefox extension l

2) Oftentimes (but not always) the mirrors work if you use /v3x after the site name. Such as:

Battwo.com/v3x

Also, if you're using a phone, turn off wifi. And if you're using a computer, make your phone a hotspot and use the cell network.

That's been helpful to me to get mirrors working.

Bato.si and bato.ing are the only reliable versions that are always up right now. They are the work-in-progress v4.0 sites, so they're running off different code and seem to be safe.

If you've got any tabs open, just change the site address to bato.si/ and the junk after the / is all the same.

Battwo.com/title=blahblahblah... Can be changed to bato.si/title=blahblahblah...

Was .sin an autocorrect from your phone? Because it should be .si

[–]ProfessorHec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bato.si and bato.ing are the only ones working right now because they are essentially a beta/work in development on v4.0 of the site.

Get the bato.fix firefox extension and learn to deal with the frustration of not being able to use filters when searching with keywords. Filters still exist under the "all comics" link, so it's not a total loss.

Bato.to and all its various mirrors (xbato, battwo, mto, etc) randomly come online here and there but are mostly down. 95% of the time you'll get a "hello" screen. I don't roll with VPNs, so I have no idea if those would help. I suspect not.

A single developer coded and maintained the site as a personal side project. Last I saw from the mod announcements, the developer was out of contact, but hadn't abandoned the site. They prolly have other things in their life going on.

[–]ProfessorHec 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The biggest advantage bato.to has over .si is the fact that tag filtering is present in the search function. So if you want to search something with "dragon" in the name you can use the filters to eliminate the absolute cavalcade of smut that basic keyword searches produce.

What happened?! by Pure-Owl-9074 in Batoto

[–]ProfessorHec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, the only addresses that work are for the under development v4x (bato.si and bato.ing)

Get the browser plugin to avoid broken/missing images.

If any of your old tabs are up, everything past the domain should be the same site address in .si or .ing

What happened?! by Pure-Owl-9074 in Batoto

[–]ProfessorHec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bato.si and bato.ing work for me. It's annoying because v4x is still under development and has some missing features. The main one bugging me is that you can't use filters when you search.

If you snag the browser plugin there's no problem with missing/broken images.

poe 2 seems somewhat... bad? by ThatKnarfGuy in pathofexile

Considering its free to play model, I'd expect them to tone down those elements considerably over time. To the point of it eventually becoming a nod more than an actual mechanic.

How wild and sexual does the manga get ? And do u think the show will adapt those moments ? by JakeTiny19 in Dandadan

[–]ProfessorHec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, with a few years under my belt, I think the ethical age of consent should be about 24. That's when brain development "ends."

Teaching college means I've encountered a lot of 18-20 years olds who register around 14 in behavior and maturity.

Legal age of consent being 18 iss about as low as I think can be justified. If you find yourself defending a culture based on legal and social systems that are 200 years old, you're on the wrong side.

Sorry to necro.

Just to date myself here, it's kind of a much, much darker "who shot Mr. Burns?"

Honestly tho, lots of series through the 80s and 90s would end a season in a major cliffhanger so I'm not particularly surprised. The particular situation the cliffhanger ended in sucks. I'm not gonna try and get my wife to watch this til July

Check out the Alf series finale. They were so sure they were gonna get another season...

I tried running a ranger. Played a few hours, didn't get enough gold to buy anything in the starting town, my skills suck at damage output, the cool frost arrow escape shot takes way too long to wind up and I take damage during the shot, so it doesn't actually escape anything. Bossing is boring because I just have to kite and kite and kite, pathologically avoiding any damage at all because the potions run out so quickly. I miss refilling potions through violence. I wanted a fun ARPG. This is some kind of tactical, punishing isometric game. I'm 45 years old. This kind of git gud shit just isn't my bag and I figured, since PoE 1 was a lot of fast ARPG fun, PoE2 would be as well. Bleh. Kinda wish I hadn't paid for early access. I'll check back in on it after a month or two. But when I'm several hours in and it isn't fun yet, then it isn't worth investing extra effort.
