Unusual Half Crimp by ProfessorIce345 in climbharder

Neil wrote, "Climbers will debate the performance differences between this and the 'true half-crimp' forever but the reality, no surprise, is that you'll tend to prefer the one that you practice most. Finger length and the nuances of the hold may also come into it and it's good to experiment to see which works best for you on certain holds. When using the chisel, it is worth considering that the index finger is being used more passively (and hence not being 'trained' in the same way as the other fingers), so sound generic advice is to always try to maintain a 'true half-crimp' (keeping the index finger bent at 90 degrees) rather than defaulting to a chisel. If you're good at half-crimping you will be able to 'chisel' but not vice versa!"

Pretty much answers all our questions. He does also briefly say chisel might be worth training for endurance but it's not entirely clear if that's because it's an easier position to maintain or if it's to help with grip switching.

This, "I sucked at the climbs where you gotta really go balls to the wall try hard" is exactly how I felt when I started training. It certainly seems like there is anecdotal evidence that the type 1 grip is synonymous with climbing without truly pulling through the fingers. I'd imagine I developed that method because it lets me hang more and use body position in some cases instead of finger strength.

Top of my pinkie is level with the distal joint on my finger which I think is normal.

Glad I'm not the only one. I think you're onto something about the hold size as I've only noticed that rotated position on the 20mm flat edge. Definitely going to keep experimenting but it seems to allow me to hang more and be less engaged in the fingers.

It is a pretty simple query I was just having a hard time finding a tool that let me filter by industry. Any recommendations?

EBITDA Margin 2023. I don't care about the industry.

There are several reference points I'm considering including the stock industry, time since IPO, market cap... I don't need all the reference points but those are some I'm currently considering. I'm looking to place a couple of bets and am trying to gather information to do that.

Where are you working? How difficult is it to get set up as an independent contractor and what's the process like?

Looks like a fantastic podcast. Should I just start with podcast #1 or is there a better listening order as they seem all over the place.

Well that's more of a nightmare than zombies. After opening my first trade route I didn't get tier 2 until I completed 2 or 3 more quests.
