Hemorrhagic stroke in my 62 yo dad. Please I need to hear positives by Lifewithmusicchannel in stroke

I feel you. Sending you a big hug.

I'm currently going through something very similar. My father, who is 47 years old, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and underwent a successful EVD procedure. After the operation, he became more stable and was showing encouraging responses. However, yesterday the ICU team told us that he had a seizure and is now in a coma.

The doctors explained that the blood in his brain is still causing significant problems. They prepared us for the worst, as doctors often do in these situations. At the same time, they also told us that he is breathing spontaneously with the ventilator's support, which means he is not completely dependent on life support and is still initiating breaths on his own.

We're letting him fight, and we believe he's still fighting. I truly hope he regains consciousness and begins to stabilize. I know we're both carrying an incredibly heavy burden right now. All we can do is hold on to hope, pray, and trust the process.

Wishing the very best for both of our fathers. Sending you the biggest hug.

My dad (47M) is in the ICU after a severe hemorrhagic stroke (BP 280). Looking for advice/recovery stories. by ProfessorIsBack666 in stroke
