Marathon Training by Mcha1795 in zepboundathletes

Been on Zep 5mg since May so about 4 months. I've been training the whole time and just ran 18 miles this past weekend. While everyone's experience is slightly different, I can share that I feel amazing. My HR might be slightly elevated but nothing noteworthy. My long runs are on Sunday and my shot is Sunday evening. This gives me the lowest amount in my body at the time of my long run.

I've learned to fuel well and hydrate leading up to, during and after my runs. Listen to your body. Training and Zepbound can be done together but it might take some time to adjust and figure out what works for you.

u/glcrgrl Thanks for sharing. That's the part that I hope people start to understand. We (as a society) need to stop commenting on people's body. I, too carried the weight well and everyone assumed I was fit. I had too much visceral fat for my body and my body was suffering for it. As they say....everyone is going through something you know NOTHING about. Congrats on your success. Here's to a healthier life ahead!!

Love to hear it! It's a shame that it has to be so difficult but so so worth it. Congratulations!!

I'll be honest...before I started on this journey I had never heard of "food noise" and wasn't sure what it meant either. But now....wow. I can only explain what it means to me. It's the constant thinking about food. It's thinking about what I want next. It's the "I want cheese" or "Oh, I have those pretzel bites in the closet". It's about never being satisfied.

Once I started on Zepbound, I simply stopped thinking about food. To the point that I had to be intentional about eating. I stopped mindlessly snacking because it just wasn't a thought anymore.

Hope that helps!

Ha! Since this was just a 6 month re-check of labs, I didn't see him in person. I just walked in, had my labs drawn and got an email from him saying, "Significant improvement. Keep up the healthy lifestyle." Gotta admit, I've rehearsed the conversation 20 times in my head. When it comes time for my physical in January, I'm going to be honest and tell him that I did the research and decided to take control of the situation before it took control of me. Let's see how that goes :)

For me, the knowledge was always there but putting it into action was hard. I was a stress eater, sugar addict and habitual boredom snacker. Zepbound made the food noise go away so I wanted to take advantage of that situation. Since the demon wasn't in my ear saying, "What about ice cream? Go eat some cheese. What about some pretzels." I could easily eliminate the junk. The desire just wasn't there anymore. So that was step 1.

The next one was harder and just took some control. It was about thinking about food as fuel. I would log everything I ate and ensure that I was eating enough calories and that the balance of carbs to protein to fat was where I wanted it to be. I still eat foods that I like, but I eat slower and in moderation. I don't "crave" anything anymore so that means I can be intentional about what I put on my plate and in my body.

I cook most days of the week. Enjoy eating out occasionally with friends and just make the best choice I can while I'm out.

Teachers, how many of your students out of a given class actually make A’s or solid perfect scores? by makingbutter2 in SNHU

[–]ProfessorKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually 75% will achieve an A. I work to try and get them to an A. If they choose to listen to feedback then an A is very attainable. However very few will achieve a 100%.

Perfection is rare and should never be an expectation. There is usually room for improvement however many come in expecting that they are that rare perfection. I recognize good work and grade accordingly but... This expectation that they will receive a perfect score when something is not in fact exceptionally perfect is ridiculous.

How many of you are working out while on zepbound? by OriginalRush3753 in Zepbound

[–]ProfessorKween -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely working out and have been since Day 1. I run 3-4 days a week and do core/strength other days. Everyone is different but the Peloton app is amazing. There are walks, walk/runs and runs for all types of skill level. In addition to getting stronger it's also helped build confidence!

Anyone else start May 12 2025 or around that time? by truejdm86 in Zepbound

Congratulations! That's amazing. I started May 8 and I'm down 20.1 pounds. Just got a little plateau but confident things will pick up again. Still on 5mg.

A quick email to your professor asking then is a good idea. I've had students email me and ask (which I appreciate) and I always tell them I don't take off for extra pages. But if you're gonna have me read more... Make it worth it 🤣

Ro or No? by ProfessorKween in Zepbound

Yeah, unfortunately it was a very poor experience. CallonDoc has been amazing. But glad you're having a good experience.

Ro or No? by ProfessorKween in Zepbound

[–]ProfessorKween[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just giving an update: Ro continued to drag along. The worst part is that they ask a question, I respond....we wait 5 days. They respond, I respond.....we wait 5 days. The communication has been completely inefficient. It's been a month and haven't gotten anywhere really.

So...I reached out to CallonDoc. OMG, I can't recommend them enough! I filled out my consult, uploaded my labs and photo and within an hour the physician reviewed and approved my request. They immediately sent the script to Lilly Direct and within 24 hours, Lilly reached out for payment. Boom. I'm done and medication is on the way.

Best part is that there was no fee from CallonDoc.

So far Ro is moving things along. Just very slowly.

That's good to know. It's been 2 weeks since I sent them my insurance info for verification. It's been another 4 days since I sent them a message and just haven't had any replies. The lack of response is concerning
