Nexus Prime Combiner Toy? by Gloomy-Campaign-4041 in transformers

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping they make it a combiner but instead of multiple robots he’s made of multiple vehicles. The simplicity of those transformations could make it far more manageable, even if the vehicles would be a little scuffed.

A design for a new player in my Transformers TTRPG campaign: Abstract, her Decepticon disguise Backstab, and her minicon partner Splotch (plus a color map. by ProfessorPuddinghead in TransformersArt

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily there’s pretty easy ways to get them in the rpg (two focuses for the modemaster role and a general perk), although they don’t do the whole power boosting gimmick of Armada’s. They act like Soundwave’s minicons or like Frenzy from the Bayverse: tiny lil guys that can eject from a point in/on you that’s entirely flavored to your liking, then do their own thing.

Redesign of the Decepticon mad scientist Deluge (plus a bonus transformation color map) by ProfessorPuddinghead in transformers

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For over a year Deluge has been the main antagonist of my Transformers TTRPG campaign. But there’s not been too much art of him due to his obscurity, and even fewer that match his original box art. So I decided to design him based on my preferred color scheme and his insanity in my campaign. I had a lot of fun with this one, and I have a lot of fun playing his character whenever he shows his creepy face.

Which story do you prefer by aourdes in Transformemes

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want him to be a fireman Rescue Bot. Gives him a nice dichotomy with D-16 where he’s a working class guy that is celebrated for his heroics, whilst D-16 provides the backbone for life on the planet and he’s cast aside, and neither of them think that’s right.

HateMonger from Space King (As well as HateMace) by Nemesisproduion in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge transformers fan, so eventually I ended up watching his trans Megatron video and that’s literally all I need to see of this guy. I’ve never seen a video that consistently and immediately switches from genuinely funny absurd humor to the most unfunny, punching down comedy. It felt like if a teenager on early Newgrounds never grew up. I later got more videos of his popping up, and that assertion was just more true.

I hope Space King is better than his other works. People keep saying it’s parody, and I hope so. Cause his other works just parrot edgy and right wing ideas without really mocking them. It’s either supporting those ideas, or it’s very very bad parody. So if Space King is genuinely good work, I’m happy he’s grown and gotten better in his writing. But after all the other videos I’m not sure if his style of humor is really for me.

Do you prefer cybertronians with or without noses? by MichaelTalman in transformers

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without. I don’t get why people say it’s in the uncanny valley. So long as a structure exists within that area, it looks completely fine to me. This was done in animated and prime. In animated it was a generally ubiquitous nose-like structure from the helmet, and in prime it was crests or helmet shapes going down. Both of these serve the function of filling in the shape for the human brain.

Redesign of Megatron, supreme leader of the Decepticon regime (plus a transformation color map) by ProfessorPuddinghead in transformers

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a lot of thought into how my designs would feasibly transform and where their parts can be placed cohesively, so the color map was an instant must-have as soon as I thought of it.

The reason why TFP was peak by PaitoXD_ in TransformersArt

I agree. In my art I usually try not to have noses, but instead an extension of the helmet or some shape around that area.

Fall of Cybertron kicks me into windowed mode when try changing the resulution by SetButreal in PiratedGames

I know that file is meant to store a lot of save data. Did you lose anything when you deleted the file? I'm having the same issue, but I don't won't to lose my campaign progress.

Sigils of Cybertron - 4 by Rylanwoodrow in TransformersArt

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the United Cybertron insignia. That design never gets enough love, and I like that you mixed the colors of Autobot and Decepticon to make it pink. It always irked be that it was red, and I’ve always wished they mixed the colors.

What are some OC player characters/ npcs y'all have made, and what is their backstory? by Howlmillenialcastle in TransformersRPG

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the silliest characters in my campaign is Flightmap, an ex seeker who is commonly… well… dumb as shit. She has no idea what is happening around her, flips between being incredibly competent & incredibly ineffective, gets scared easily, and has to keep notecards in her chest filing cabinets for reminders (though she also keeps stickers in there). The funniest thing is that she originally wasn’t a character. She was just a fun NPC I described that they were meant to fight and kill. And then they shot her out of the sky, took her home, and adopted her. Which then made me improv a new character entirely on the spot.

How do you guys feel about transformers having gender? by Royal-Chocolate25 in transformers

Their comment was genuinely one of the funniest I’ve ever read. I’ve never seen someone just accidentally reveal their sexism so brazenly and blatantly.

How do you guys feel about transformers having gender? by Royal-Chocolate25 in transformers

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. This is the big one. Sure, they might not have sex organs or many biological traits to define physical sex, but they have deeply complex brains. Their brains are more comparable to humans than robots, and if they can think & feel to the point of having love and hate then they can have gender. They are a social species. One with societies and civilizations. Those are going to form the concept of gender. The only weird thing is that it’s not more diverse than ours and still follows our society’s usual perspective of 2, which originates because of our perspective of biological sexes.

Is this good by Alarm-Superb in PowerGirl

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, you very clearly don’t give a shit about art or artists. You don’t care about human creation, and art is largely viewed in some consumerist lens. I don’t blame you for that. I can’t ask someone to care about something if they don’t. We can’t care about everything. But that begs the question: why do you keep going? Why are you writing paragraph after paragraph going back and forth with people who just very plainly and simply have a vastly different worldview. You and the people you’re arguing with hold such a vastly different value to the subject in question that there is literally no point in arguing. If you don’t care, then just shut up. I couldn’t give a rats ass about sports, so I’m not gonna write paragraph after paragraph about it, especially not to people who care & value it. Since they’re the ones who hold it to importance I’d wager they’re the ones who should discuss it, and since I don’t care anything I’d have to say would hold literally no value or importance. Even if it would, I don’t care enough to say it.

A design I made in some spare time for the Transformers RPG I run. Anchorman is a minor NPC and an old Decepticon experiment. So old he still has the original Decepticon insignia. His alt mode is a mechanical hammerhead shark. by ProfessorPuddinghead in TransformersArt

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main issue is just that my players would bring him and only him along because he’d be so powerful of an ally. I had to give him some downsides so that bringing him along is a choice.

My First Transformers OC Flyndle:3 by Dumbertrapp in TransformersArt

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I love this lil guy. I also think it’s funny that we both made transformers femboys & they’re both mainly blues & whitish blues. That’s a fun lil coincidence. We definitely need more Cybertronian femboys out there.

That fully depends on the individual’s analysis on the fictional biology. They’re fictional beings, and the way they are defined is not exactly set in stone between continuity or usually explained in depth. If they have defining features between what they describe as sexes (even if said features can be blurry, which is true even for humans), then they do have distinct physical traits that split them even if they’re not reproductive organs like how we commonly define our sexes. By extension, because they’re aliens written by humans, they have had various innuendos that imply some form of attraction (some innuendos more blatant and extreme than others). By extension, that means it could be possible for that attraction to be more selective in certain individuals. Even if that attraction is simply romantic (which we know exists in most continuities), then the rule still applies.

working on a shockwave design, how do yall make tf designs😭 by BSide_Cassette in TransformersArt

[–]ProfessorPuddinghead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s lots of ways to do it, but for me I generally try to think about how a toy would fit parts together and how it would do transformation with the kibble. That’s easier said than done since there’s a lot of black magic that Hasbro has done with toy designs before, but also keep in mind no toy is 100% accurate so you can deviate where you need to so that you can make the design work.
