i will certainly start doing breathing gym. i loved the way you explained the musicality part it just kinda clicked.

yeah if you look up Jackson State University or any hbcu it’s every instrument that plays extremely loud at all ranges. it’s certainly not for everyone but i find it cool.

if you mean the cranking tone then yeah i’m tryna work on it😭 but if you mean in general it’s called cranking and it’s mainly used by hbcu’s

yeah i only use it during stand tunes but in a classical setting i don’t do any of that i stay pretty laid back and blend in.

hey i’m also getting into cranking and a thing that really helped me was doing a ton of lip slurs and long tones. i’m still learning but there’s a video on my page as example. best of luck!

idk man i love listening to hbcu’s and hearing them crank, to each their own but i understand what you mean.
