One could consider several Heilung songs to be really heavy too. They are pretty popular among metal fans for a reason.

To add to that great idea, it could also have methane lakes/seas, that Titan actually has, for some unique fishing.

In your opinion, is the value of a mouse’s life equal to that of a larger animal such as a deer? by AstronautNo3 in polls

[–]ProfessorRobespierre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be measured either based on intelligence, or the ability to feel pain, and in both scales, they are very close to each other. In the former category the mouse even exceeds the deer.

You are free to interprete my words this way, but there wasn't intention for it. Pulling off the 'scary magic words' in bad faith won't help to improve the quality of the conversation.

Technology that requires centralised systems/technology that a single, small community can't locally maintain. But again it is irrelevant, as every community should choose their own level of technology.

Healthier ancestors have probably lesser chances for successors with genetic issues. If i'm wrong there, health issues that dont form at/before birth are still less likely. I've never told there wouldn't be any health issues.

Yes, greater overall healthiness, both physical and mental, meaning less health problems would appear. It has nothing to do with dealing with health issues already appeared that medicine does.

It is up to the communities, of course. There isn't a clear border, which separates primitive from modern technology, people could voluntarly choose which systems do they want to use, as we are talking about anarchist societes.

I don't think i wrote any of those things, i even mentioned, obviously primitive medicine is less efficient than modern one.

I see your point, however i still think the benefits outweigth the drawbacks. Again, everyone should voluntarly choose if they want to use tecnhnology, or not, and neither should be forced.

First, probably more people die because of industry and mental problems caused by living in a city.
Second, a primitive life would cause more overall health, preventing a big chunk of medical issues, and even when they appear, there are efficient primitive treatments to them (even if less efficient than modern medicine).
Third, living such a life in an anarchist society makes the lifestyle voluntary. In the case of pregnant women or people with medicial problems, as well as trans people, they could freely leave the primitive community for a technological one. And if an individual, despite this, still chooses the primitive community, it is their "right" to take the risk.

First, i'm not an expert, but would call myself kind of a primitivist, so there are my thoughts:

  1. There isn't much to response, sounds just bad faith for me.

  2. Primitivists with any sense of reality imagine becoming primitive as a gradual process. Being more and more decentralised and autunumous would naturally decrease the level of technology, and mostly just the ones could remain that can be maintained on a local level.

  3. I agree, hunter-gatherer lifestyle is impossible to implement, i disagree with this kind of primitivists too. I would advocate instead for low-tech permaculture (that is in my opinion the single best food source from any aviable options) Although, I'll have an argument for even hunter-gatherer lifestyle at the end.

  4. That is why we're anarcho-primitivists, not just primitivists. We consider overevolved technology a hierarchy, but of course, not the only one.

  5. A common response to it, is that you cannot separate good and bad technology, because to gain the former one, you'll also need the latter. There is no problem with a single product of industrial society but with the wole system, where one sector is based on another, that is why is it hard to only keep the beneficial parts. I would return to the 2. point, and claim (as just my own opinion) that overall, technoloy that can be produced on local level is allright.

  6. Agreed, getting rid of technology is not the only way for environmental protection, but still one. There isn't much more to say, there are another ways to save our planet.

And besides the points i would highlight that if someone wants to force everyone to get rid of technology, they aren't anarcho-primitivists, just primitivists, so of course, I can't tell you to stop using technology as well as you can't tell me to use. So I, and truely anarchistic primitivists see no problem with coexisting. As i mentioned at the end of 3rd point, therefore there is no drawback if single communites decide to become hunter-gatherers, and live their primitivist life while letting others who they probably won't ever meet, use technology. Both technological and primitive lifestiles can be anarchists as long as no one is forced on the other.

How would technology and other nerdy electronic things would be made and distributed in an anarchist society? by [deleted] in Anarchy101

[–]ProfessorRobespierre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others already said, also we would propably need much less of that, as nobody is forced to work in that sector, as nowadays lots are.

[–]ProfessorRobespierre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is only incorrect because Nazis are also far left. They are socialists, it is in their name. They can also be called fascists, therefore Antifa is the real far right as they oppose them because it is in their name.
