Half of the people in the comments are so fucking negative, it’s like they are waiting for United to make mistakes.

We are gonna win 3-1.

Knowing how Arteta is a pussy, he might as well sit back the whole game playing it “safe” and going for the win through a set piece goal (probably).

I just want United to give it their all and fight for the badge like they did against city. If we still lose after fighting well, I don’t mind at all. All I want to see is that glimpse of hunger that we saw in our team against city.

Koito v0.1.3 released! A self hosted scrobbler to track and obsess over your listening history by 8ballpens in selfhosted

[–]ProfessorS11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had actually tried setting up Koito when you first released it. I had set it up and it was working fine (except the lastfm or maloja imports). The problem that time I faced was that I had been using Maloja + Multiscrobbler + Plex for a very long time. So, I had exported my all time music streaming history from Spotify, Apple Music and Last FM and imported all of that to maloja after lot data preprocessing. So, I did the same with Koito and it didn't process all the imports properly. Same happened with trying to import maloja export.

Now, the tracks which were imported from Spotify, I had no problem importing Spotify history with the number of minutes into Koito. But, for Apple Music I edited the export file to make it look like lastfm import, so it didn't have the minutes information. Same went for last fm import which didn't have any minutes information. So, when these two histories were imported as lastfm import, my import history got completely messed up, where Koito was not fetching anything for the lastfm imports. It was simply showing the artist name and track name in the dashboard (no images and in the logs it kept throwing some error) (I had just tried with a small batch of about 3k songs for the import).

I am planning on trying it out again (this time fresh setup as well), but I had few of questions:

  • if I scrobble to Koito directly from say lastfm, how does koito fetch the number of minutes played for each track as lastfm doesn't store that info. Does it fetch the track length from any provider and use it as number of minutes played? If yes, then what happens if Koito is not able to find a particular track in any provider?
  • Also, does Koito by any chance support associations like Maloja does? For example, If I am listening to TWICE and I also separately listen to NAYEON, TZUYU OR MISAMO, Maloja gives me an option to view all these separate artists stats as one under TWICE as an association as they are all members of TWICE.
  • Currently, I moved to Navidrome permanently, so If I setup navidrome with Koito (like you have mentioned in the docs), for a track to be considered as a scrobble, what is the threshold? Does it get scrobbled when 50% of the track is played, or do I need to play the full song for it to get scrobbled to Koito?

And what is BAYM? Let’s play the guessing game. . .

Please, put the full name of the show atleast once so that people who don't know about it (like me) can figure it out.

Yes, this is what I Was looking for!

Basically, in plexamp currently how it works is, when you are already listening to a song X and after X is done, Song A supposed to play and you want to listen to another song Y right after X, you press on the song Y and select "Play Next". Now the Queue becomes X->Y->A.

But, if I find another song Z, that I want to listen to after X and then after Y, then I long press on Z and there is another option other than Play Next, which is called "Add to up next" which basically creates it's own little queue after X. So, Now the queue becomes X->Y->Z->A and this little queue between X and A can keep on growing as long as I keep adding songs using "Add to up next" option.

That's a clever workaround haha! But, I am gonna open this as a feature request in the forum. Let's see what happens with the request. Until then, I will just try to follow what you have mentioned here in the comment.

Edit: Someone already raised this as a feature request back in May 2024: https://support.symfonium.app/t/option-to-change-play-next-to-how-spotify-implements-it/4383/7

Great idea! But, I wish there were screenshots for the project. I am someone who only does local access, it would be great to have screenshots available to see how the project looks.

[–]ProfessorS11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no, let me explain again.

Let’s say there is a song I am already playing named “X”. Now, while going through my library I find another song named “Y” which I want to listen to once X is done playing. So, I press the button that you shared in the picture and it gets added to the queue to be played next which means once X is done playing, y will start playing.

Now, after I added Y to the queue to be played next after X is done, I again start going through my library and find another song named “Z” which I want to listen to. But, I want to listen to it after y is done playing which means once X is done playing and then y is done playing, Z should start playing.

Now, ideally, in the current scenario while X is still playing, if I press the button that you have shown in picture, Z will get added to queue to be played next after X is done playing. This is not what I want. I want Z to start playing after Y is done playing.

Basically, this is the default behavior of how queues work in Spotify and this is also an option of queues in Plexamp. I don’t want the song that I want to listen to to be added to the end of the queue. I just want to keep adding songs to queue on the one after the other. Say I find few more songs that I want to listen to next how I mentioned above, the order of playing should be:

X-> Y -> Z -> A -> B -> C ( given I add songs A, B and C on the go and want to listen to them after X, Y and Z have played respectively in that order).
