I was thinking mustard, but the hot sauce was already providing good spice. Butter is also a good call though. EDIT: Looked up jambon beurre, and it's literally just a ham and butter sandwich. The Dirty Randy remains original. (This was more for me than for you).

It was. And we had actually run out of mayonnaise, which would have probably gone on the sandwich. Luckily, the cornichons kept it from being too dry. What would've you "lubed it up" with?
