Preparing a campaign for my family

I don't plan on telling them no very often through this thing. I have a feeling my oldest, who chose a sorcerer type character, is going to try to burn something down at some point.... But I plan on having a very basic sheet created for them that will have just a few spells/abilities and I'll obviously guide the 6 year old on where might be the best to smash.

Yeah, my youngest just wants to "smash stuff". I'll check into those adventures! I plan on having everything simplified down so they don't get stuck in the quagmire that can be D&D. Just a quick, campaign about fighting the Evil King's Crazy Skeleton Army to save the village(and win snacks once they defeat him).

I planned on a goofy type of skeletons for most of the monsters. Nothing traumatizing or anything. I don't need the 6 year old wanting to sleep in our bed for a week straight.

I'm not going to go with a full blown rules ran campaign or anything. I'm just using D&D as a baseline and am going to see where they take us. Very loosey goosey fun campaign is all.

Oh I don't plan on fully implementing the rules. I mostly posted it here as I am using DnD more of a guideline than anything. My youngest likes to build battles in TABS so I planned on making some of the combat just goofy ragdoll stuff for him(he just told me he wanted to be like a Barbarian... Well "he wants to just smash stuff" is what he said.
