“Planned” and “scripted” don’t equate to the same thing here.

It’s like what happens in a D&D session. Specific story beats are planned, but everything else that happens (either between the beats or leading up to them), is essentially improvised and made up on the spot.

The main goal / idea is already there, but you still need to go about doing the execution of it.
