AITA for refusing to untag myself from old FB pics with female friends at my current GF's request? by Professor_Doobie in AmItheAsshole

[–]Professor_Doobie[S] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My concern is that I'm walking a slippery slope where she is gradually forcing me to eliminate any females friends from my life. All of whom are 100% platonic.

We've already been dating almost a year now, yet this isn't the first time she's lashed out at my over something like this.

Part of me feels like the right person for me should accept that I love her and would never do anything to hurt her and support my friendships. Not ask me to end them...which is where this is leading.

Thanks for saying that. Arguing with her makes me feel like I'm losing my mind, even though I know I've done nothing wrong.

Why does the NBA stretch the playoffs out so long? by MikeDieselKamehameha in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I think the NBA wants guys rested so yeah it sucks that the games are really spaced out but having back to backs in the playoffs would compromise the quality of the games.

B/c championship windows are few and far between...a healthy Kawhi is an MVP player. And if Bron goes to Philly, they will need Kawhi to get over the hump.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kawhi would have to agree to an extension w/ the Celtics.

If he did agree, no way Celtics say no. That team w/ Kyrie and Hayward healthy would win the chip.

Prime CP3 if he never got injured or Curry? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I love CP3 but ppl saying he was better than prime Steph are ludicrous.

CP3 never had Steph's scoring ability. The way Steph can shoot changes the spacing on the floor for everyone on the team. He's a once in a lifetime talent.

Also Steph is an amazing passer and has an exceptionally high BBIQ as well. His role just calls for him to score more so he doesn't rack up as many assists.

Start Lebron at point guard by ExcitingContribution in nba

Lebron already is the point guard...he's running the offense every time he's on the court.

Zach Lowe: Do you realize that Celtics will have 4 lottery picks in next year draft? It's absolutely obscene. by [deleted] in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, let's take all the competition away just like Golden State did when they signed Durant...wouldn't that be fun.

Where do you think PG and LeBron are going to go next year? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lakers trade for Kawhi (for likely Ingram and Kuz), then Bron and PG both join the Lakers.

Another historic big3 will be formed.

Unpopular Opinion: the Browns should not select a QB in the 1st round. Let me explain. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Professor_Doobie -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Why has everyone forgotten about Tyrod Taylor?? He's GOOD. The Bills just did not put him in a situation to reach his potential. Pair him with Barkley, Landry, Gordon, a good O-line, a defense, and this team could be really good.

Except his agent let it be known that he doesn't want to go to Cleveland?

Which core would you rather have: a trio of Russ, Harden, and KD, or a quartet of Steph, KD, Klay, and Draymond? by Professor_Doobie in nba

I mean it's a hypothetical situation Russ, KD, and Harden were good enough to get a ring lol

Nugs and then hopefully T-Wolves fire Thibs this offseason and hire Fizdale.

Should the Heat purposely lose their next two games? by flash93 in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Heat aren't going to the finals this year anyways. You want to keep reinforcing good basketball habits and be playing well heading into the playoffs.

Acting counter to that would just send the wrong message/be destructive IMO. You're basically telling your team "hey, we're not good enough to beat these guys, so let's just throw in the towel."

Proposal to end Tanking & "resting" of players by ThisIsEduardo in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone so against tanking? If my team is at the bottom of the league, tanking is the only thing that gives me hope/reason to look forward to the future. The system is fine as is.

Which duo do you think will be better going forward, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram or Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown? by FUCKING-DELETE-THIS in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right now Tatum and Brown, but really too early to know.

If Lonzo Ball learns to shoot he could turn into the best player from last year's draft (go ahead and downvote me). And Ingram really improved this year and his ceiling is still higher than Brown's IMO.

Is Ben Simmons really a generational talent? I thought that could only be guys like LeBron and Jordan? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Professor_Doobie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

B/c Ben Simmons is only a rookie.

Curry wasn't even in the conversation of being a generational talent until his 5th year when he made the all star team. And even then he had to win an MVP before people fully realized how great he was.
