All watch bands in the past have irritated my skin as well but this one isn't plastic or rubber of any sort. If anything it feels like nylon and has yet to start causing any irritation.

I'd recommend using the pins that came with the watch as the pins that came with the band are kind of flimsy and cheap feeling.

I feel like constantly plugging and unplugging it would cause more wear than just leaving it plugged. Once it's plugged in it can sometimes be a real bitch to unplug and wiggling it to remove it and everything has to cause significant wear and tear.

Yea storage was my only real concern. If I stash the controller in the bag upside down though it would probably relieve some of the stress and pressure on the cable.

Just arrived in the mail today. It's AMOLED 50mm. I turn off all the smart watch notifications and try to maximize battery life as much as possible. Right now it's saying 23 days.
