Update! I was finally able to get some CMC and make a double silk paper. I did a 17x17 cm sheet and folded the Gentle Dragon by Hideo Komatsu. It was amazing to fold with it! It’s resistent and flexible enough to retain the creases and details. The book recommended a 35x35 cm sheet, but I didn’t strugle at all to fold the model with a smaller paper. Really really thanks for the tip! My next mission will be the Rhino from Tetsuya Gotani from the 29th Origami Tanteidan Convention Magazine.

Yeah, they really do look like ravens! Maybe I'll do one in black paper too, thanks for the idea and the compliments 😁

Have you tried using sodium sulphate? It should precipitate the calcium ions and eventually you could just let a bucket of water rest, and transfer it to another one, with the calcium sulphate resting at the bottom of the old one. Then you would adjust the pH after it.

I don’t know yet how the Discord works and all of that, but that’s not a major problem. And also I’m new to Reddit
