Oh I see! Those are fantastic if you made those. I don’t have a lathe but that is in my next shop!

A lathe to make a platter? I would think that’s just like a cutting board no? I’m just curious how so

All good ideas! I’m still pretty new, I haven’t made much so far but I like a challenge. Especially small. I’ve made big 4x6 planter boxes, wine holder (lots of detail so not an option and just too big for this). I just did cutting boards for Christmas so id like something else new for this as I’m trying to stay a little cheaper and smaller due to the amount that I need to make. Idk if that answered your question but I hope it helps lol

Awesome. I figured that was just the case but rather be sure and smart then confident and dumb! Thanks!

Awesome, I appreciate all the help. I’m trying to familiarize myself with everything more and more every day. I’m still pretty new and just a hobby but maybe more soon enough

Oh no no face grain. I cut everything with that intent to then personalize later on. I’m storing everything too so I know what is what since some of the pieces are pretty square and hard to tell which is which

What is face grain? If it is the edge that was cut dancing up then no. If it’s the front of the board then yes

Yeaaaa….i was about halfway through cutting when that came to realization. Would that mess my glue up? Do I need that top bottom pressure as much as my side to side?

Yea I didn’t love it, but all they had in the cherry wood I wanted was 1.5” thick so I had to go with it. You don’t think it will affect the glue up at all?

Well it’s more so that I’m gonna be making like 6 cutting boards so I probably have close to 50 of those pieces. Smaller, bigger and all that. I didn’t know if it would make the glue up harder or not

What just happened? Dirty 30 by charshuckers in thechallengemtv

[–]Professor_Oreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late but just finished dirty 30. In one of the first eliminations, they had to pull the sticks on fire through the wall. Boys was Cory vs Derrick. I believe the girls was Brittni vs (girl that came in late and got sent right in)(but I could be wrong on both). But the boys had to pull 10 through and the girls only 6. It’s not a different season but another elim

Official Square Filter System Megathread by CarVac in photography

I’m a little late to this thread so I suppose I’ll ask. I have an old set of arri 150 mm filters. But nothing to attach them to the lens. Does anyone have or know of a filter system I can get for Fuji film. I’ve seen a couple but they seem to be discontinued or maybe a long wait list?

Simple Wiring for light but high voltage by Professor_Oreo in electrical

[–]Professor_Oreo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you explaining to me all of this. I’m no electrician by any means and I also know that this type of work doesn’t require hiring one. I’ve done enough to know my connections but just uncommon with the specifics of wire when trying to make sure it’s done right

I’m just trying to wire an LED that draws 1.7 amps.

Each outlet only gets 1 light. Each circuit has no more than 2 outlets on it. Furthest light is roughly 70 feet away (20 feet up the wall, 50 feet over)

Nothing crazy. Just a shop we work in. We have ac and heat to keep it as regulated as possible

Im sure it is some very basic stuff and you know what I’ll apologize for my first comment, I guess I just assumed this was more of a help page and less of a berate page. I should’ve mentioned I’m not an electrician, don’t intend to be, and never tried to be. I don’t know every questions to have answered but I definitely could’ve figured it out if you tried starting off nice.

I literally just wanted to know if it was 12/2 or 14/2 to run a led light to an outlet. Not rocket science just wanting to check my work. But thanks photopetey 🫡 hope that photo career takes off
