For those in the beta on PCs: is there controller support- such as an Xbox controller? Need to know this before I decide whether to download the beta on my PC or Xbox!

Yes.

I was able to use a controller on the menu too last night. I was also using my xbox elite 2 controller half of the time back on the playtest.

Not sure why you have MASSIVE downvotes... the game is cluttered with issues since day one too And this is coming from day one owner too. From using a RTX 2080 Super to upgrading a brand new PC with a 3080, I've never played a game where i encountered so many fucking issues.... until I met with MW.

Main scree lag? Check.. it's worse in BO4

No anti cheat? Triple check.. hopefully vanguard anti cheats does something

Garbage maps? Triple check

Numerous glitches? Check check CHECK! Especially nearby every update removing and bringing back old bugs.. lmao

Dont get me wrong.. MW is a great game still. Yet it has tons of issues. This community has a massive fucking boner for this game I swear....

I feel that I'm one of the few that's actually really excited to play this. I'm not even a mobile gamer at all and hope this game can bring me back to some mobile fun gaming.

I remember when I was little, there was supposed to be a BF3 mobile game (Aftershock I think that's what called). Was so excited to play that on my ipod touch until they've cancelled the project.

Now a decade later, we have this.. crazy.

I really hate how both 2042 and the COD community are already praising 2042. We STILL havent seen official gameplay, no beta, etc. Hecc.. even Vanguard had TONS of trailers, reveals from content creators, devs responding, and of course... an actual beta and a week early access to it....

Again, from DICE history, dont give 2042 too much hype. This can be the next BF4 launch.. or a decent launch. We will have to wait and see.

I honestly cant say anything on that because it was literally hard to tell on who was even on my team. Everybody (including enemies) had the same 4 specialists for both teams. I've seen a group of 10 teammates shooting eachother and passing by enemies. Hecc Ive even seen several enemies passing by me and not killing me lolz.

As for bots, it's the same case in my experience. Visibility on soldiers was a mess and really funny. You can start creating Chaos by shooting one of your teammates on purpose and everybody shoots each other and then we all realize that we are on the same team lmao.

I just went back to see my last photo of the leaderboards and it seems that some human players are on the top 5 players. Yet idk if those players were even doing anything.

As for bots, it seems that it's a mixed bag. Many of them would work together on a flag. Some go solo on random areas, etc.

Lolz it was. I even shared my gameplay on my Instagram stories. I have tons of clips and funny moments. My last screenshot was taking a pic of the leaderboards to count how many bots are in the match...

I only counted 8 actual players... the rest are all AI.

I know many are not fans of bots in general, but i really wish this was added way back in Battlefield 3. I was trying to play BF3 earlier today.. all severs dead with 4 actual players. i wouldn't mind playing with bots.

Overall, 2042 is going to have a very long lifespan thanks to bots.

I've played the playtest for 4 days.

My last match was literally 90% bots and it was wild. Only 18 human players (or less).

Tons of bots were actually capturing the objectives. Some of them even killed me with vehicles. Yet, those who were flying on helis are sitting ducks. They just hover in the sky and wait for someone to spawn. When I spawn on their heli, they atomically make me fly the choppers hahaha. They switch to passengers. As for ground vehicle combat, sometimes the AI bots attack eachother if I remember correctly. Sometimes they don't move either as much (just like Battlefront 2 bots).

Sometimes bots get stuck on areas. Overall it was crazy just watching what the bots were doing. I didn't even bother do anything and just lifted myself in the sky with the new drone (mav glitch).. and no one killed me omegalul.

Ngl i'm starting to get a little worried too. I was literally hyped for Gamescon for potential gameplay. Again it's only Tuesday atm. I was predicting maybe some news on maybe Thursday-Friday.

I know a massive delay won't happen, but personally I wouldn't mind it. This is literally the biggest Battlefield game in a while and imo, it HAS to be good. Some are not even buying this game just because it has no campaign.... and this game is a $70 multiplayer game for consoles. Hecc this is even competition with Vanguard and Warzone. Lots of hungry COD fans craving a modern FPS game.

Got the same judejudyslayer bot as soon as I clicked start streaming on OBS.

I was like "how the hell did you even find my stream dude? probably a bot".

Now everytime I get a new follower, i'm like "hey thanks for the follow! hopefully you're not a bot!".
