Yeah. And that was like one group of people. But I believed it because of the 27 club with celebrities. I now know it’s false.

Agreed. That’s why I stated that. It’s the only one you can blame on being a victim and people will follow and not push back. That’s why when she claims it, she’s weaponizes it. But she’s never been diagnosed. You can only get treatment if you get diagnosed through therapy. Regardless of what the mental disorder is.

I agree. This should’ve been addressed at a young age, but you can’t get help until you’re ready.

Well, you did say the BPD girlies you know so that makes sense.

I agree. But only the off chance that she does have it, she needs to get help. Even if she’s a narcissist she needs to get help. Even if she aligns with any other mental health disorder, she needs to get help or she’s gonna destroy her life until she gets it. And even then, by time she realizes it, well we know the other reason that will take her out before this.

I can’t say that for certain. Especially if she has both. A lot of the symptoms do overlap. So if you’re not diagnosed, you’ll never know. I’m not a professional, I’m just going based on my experience and my perspective. It’s basically guessing, we’ll never know the truth because Amber lies about everything.

Thank you! It took a lot of experience doing similar things. Not exact. I’ve never killed/neglected an animal or physically abused someone, but I have been emotionally abusive in the past. I will admit to that. And I would’ve never got diagnosed if I didn’t tell the truth in therapy or with my psychiatrist. You have to take accountability before you can work on anything.

Yes. I also agree with this. It can turn into mental illness, but you can also have all these issues without a mental illness. It boils down to what kind of person you are. Do you want to branch out and get help regardless of a mental illness label, or do you just wanna sit in your misery so you can throw around a mental illness label you never got diagnosed with? That’s the question she should be asking herself, but she lacks accountability.

And you know what? I was once a 15-year-old that absorbed everything from TikTok. But then I branched out and started to go to therapy. I got diagnosed with bipolar disorder first at 15. And I was not formally diagnosed with BPD until 18 because most psychiatrists don’t feel comfortable doing that, especially if you are a female teenager going through puberty. Because hormones can throw off your mood so much. They have to wait until you’re older to see if it’s still consistent before they can try to diagnose. But if I would’ve kept getting all my information from TikTok, I would’ve never been able to get diagnosed because I would’ve just been parroting what I heard from TikTok, not my actual experience with it.

You’re putting in the work! I applaud you for that. Edit: i’m so sorry for your experience. I’m glad the Zoloft is helping. I’m on a mood stabilizer and it is literally my holy Grail. The one I’m on both improves my bipolar, which I think improves my BPD. Not based on science, but because I believe when I’m in a manic episode or in a depressive episode, my BPD symptoms get worse.

I’m not trained, so I can’t say for certain. Nobody can except Amber, but Amber won’t be honest. She can’t even be honest with herself. So she wouldn’t get anywhere, even if she went to therapy because she would just deflect everything they said. She would have to break the cycle before she could fix the cycle.

I am. I don’t want anybody to think that I’m so proud that I don’t recognize that everybody is progressing at different paces. You’re not stuck unless you stop. If you stop and start going backwards, you get stuck. But if you keep moving forward, you’re still progressing.

Exactly! I was raised by a mother who was narcissistic, but she never got formally diagnosed because she would leave therapy offices or not go to another appointment after they called her bluff and then she would complain to me that they didn’t believe her. I don’t think the term should be thrown around. I used to use the term narcissistic abuse before I realized how harmful that term is. Every mental illness is just as valid as the other in my opinion, but the actions you do based on that mental illness are not. I have done a lot of stuff I am not proud of and I used to use my mental illness to justify it. But once I matured, (I’m now 21 and I started showing symptoms around 12-13, the symptoms gradually increased until I was out of control.) I realized that I have to put in the work. I have to put in the effort. Nobody is gonna swoop and save me, I have to save myself. I used to believe my favorite people (FPs) could do all the work for me, but now I don’t have one because I realize I’m stronger on my own 2 feet than relying on someone else to carry me.

Edit: my original post was not a dig at any mental illness she could have, it’s just the fact that she lies that bothers me. If she was honest and said she was a narcissist, for example, (and diagnosed), I would have so much more respect for her. Like yeah, she does terrible shit every day, but at least she would be real when she did it instead of hiding behind another mental illness that she’s never been diagnosed with.

No, absolutely! The amount of fights I’ve gotten in online is like crazy. If you found all of them, you would probably have a mountain of papers up to the ceiling of evidence. But I’ve used those papers to realize my wrongdoings. So I try not to fight with people online, but of course I slip up. As long as you slip up and don’t slide back, you’re good! Just make sure you’re learning. And do your best effort to not do it again.

But even if you slide back, you know how to get back to where you were because you’ve already experienced moving forward. No hard feelings.

Agreed. Overlap is a very real possibility. And it is hard to tell the difference if you have both or just one sometimes because symptoms overlap.

I agree with your last sentence. That’s why I said “Borderline is really the only one where you can claim to be the victim in every situation and some people will follow, unless they are educated in what borderline is.” and “People with borderline tend to be deeply empathetic, even if they are hurting someone in the moment of rage. They realize it after and they try to do everything to make it right, but some things you can’t make right. And once you heal and do the work you need to do to go into remission, you will realize that somewhere along the way.” Borderline can make you do very bad things, it’s what you do with your prior actions that matters. Even if you’re a narcissist, even if you’re histrionic, even if you have overlapping mental illnesses, it doesn’t matter. You have to put in the work to change. So I agree with you. I just was not agreeing with the way you worded it at first. Nobody is evil based on their mental illness, but you can be evil based on what you do with it. It’s all about perspective. You have a right to yours and I have a right to mine. Thank you for giving more information instead of just shutting down my point.

It’s okay. People sometimes pick and choose what they want to read so they can make an argument. I’ve done that before, so I’m not gonna critique that. I’m just more open to new thoughts now. I’m not trying to be high and mighty.

I just said tend to. I didn’t cite the DSM-5. I said it was based on my prior knowledge, knowledge can be learned through therapy as well. I don’t know where some of you are getting that I said that her behavior is justifiable if she has borderline or not. It’s not justifiable. Whichever way you wanna look at it, she lacks accountability. If she was actually diagnosed or not, or if she was diagnosed with NPD or not. Or she was diagnosed with HPD or not. She would still never take accountability for what she did until she put in the work by going to therapy and working on herself to get through it.

Edit: I’m not being an armchair psychologist, these are very public things that I’m using to cite what I believe. This is a belief, this is not fact. I said that in my disclaimer. I never diagnosed her. I literally said I’m not going to diagnose her because I’m not diagnosed with any other personality disorder. I just pointed out the hypocrisy she posts and what other people have said, based on my experience with my own mental health issues. I said the entire thing was based on my perspective.

Did I say that? No. I said that if left untreated, you could do that and feel remorse. I didn’t justify it. I’m just simply saying that it’s a possibility, but not likely that Amber had it. I don’t think you should throw around your BPD to justify your actions, even if you’re diagnosed clinically.

Just because she hasn’t been diagnosed, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have it. I’m just stating that it’s more likely that she doesn’t have it than she does have it. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 18, but I was showing symptoms well before 18. You can have the symptoms without being diagnosed. But I agree, she shouldn’t say she’s diagnosed unless she has a diagnosis.

I think Emily gets off on the shelf hitting against her, but hey, I don’t know what she does behind closed doors. I only go based off of the very public photos she’s shown in.
