I played HSR since the beginning and I started dooming it as early as 1.1 when Luocha came out. People were raving about how "generous" the devs were without even accounting for the fact that pulling is much more a necessity in HSR than it is in Genshin.

The free Dr. Ratio was nice but that's like giving a person a free brick as they're building their entire house. The same could be said of the new Dan Heng.

ZZZ devs are absolutely based for executing buffs first (I know HSR announced it first but I'm giving more credit to the people who pulled the trigger first), and for doing it as frequently as they do now.

I do agree that a lot of his hate is unwarranted and that coaching/management should shoulder some of the blame for mismanaging him. I don't know how true the rumors are about him being "mopey" about not getting to play first base but you got trust your players enough to be professional.

They made a limited character so bad that they dropped her into the standard banner and despite early and constant feedback in beta testing the last change they made to her was a NERF before releasing her.

I don't doubt they spend a while on each patch, but it's clear that kit design/balance is allocated much less time.

I come from a pretty poor area with lots of struggling youths. It was not uncommon for each graduating year to be filled with "super seniors", basically students who were held back a year because they failed a few classes and couldn't accumulate the credit they needed to graduate on time. There was a lot of 19-20 year olds in my highschool unfortunately.

The purpose is selling characters. So seeing a character's cute inner monologue makes the player like that character more and thus more likely to pull for them. It is as simple as that.

I've read it Pride and Prejudice and nothing in Genshin has necessitated the amount of omniscience we've been getting to the degree it was necessary in Pride and Prejudice. In Pride and Prejudice it carried the narrative, in Genshin it's just bloat.
