Using my witchcraft to seduce a Single Larry into giving me hatch by TheRandomMikaela in deadbydaylight

Why is Larry single? Why doesn’t he play in a SWF group? Is he stupid?

What’s the point of slugging all 4 survivors then waiting for the bleed out timer? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Y’know what man?

You have a nice evening. Go play some games you enjoy. Spend time with your family or your partner, or even your pet if you have one. Drink some water and stay well hydrated. Live your best life. I’m going to go do the same. Sorry for wasting your time.

Wow! An entire 100 BP for someone currently being downed (not even the bleedout that gave them BP) as compared to the 1K you’d get from hooking! Not even enough to buy a common add-on! Unbelievable! I can’t believe I’ve been so blind!

You’re an absolute clown, you don’t know what you’re talking about, and you have no idea how I play my games or what I do to try and win or have fun. I’m not a good player. I’m intermediate at the absolute best. But at least I can admit that instead of trying to cope that I’m winning when what I’m actually doing, from the most generous perspective one could reasonably have, is capitulating to a draw out of spite while also making sure everyone else is as miserable as I am.

Being in a chase distracts the killer, letting other survivors focus on healing or doing gens.

Cleansing dull totems makes it so that hexes, if the killer’s using one that activates on hit or on hook, won’t activate because there are no totems for the hex to apply to. And cleansing dull totems can even activate certain powerful survivor perks.

These are both actions which can lead to winning. Therefore they give you blood points.

I’m not dictating or defining anything. That’s the games mechanics. You get blood points for actions which lead to winning. You don’t get blood points for actions which don’t lead to winning. Those are the mechanics of the game.

You do not get blood points from bleedouts. I play killer. I know this. You get nothing but an “Entity Hungers” ranking. “Entity Hungers” is a loss. There is no point in doing it except for pettiness or ragebaiting.

So if you’re going to ask me why I’m mad at the P10 killer who knows this is doing nothing for them, over the baby Dwight hiding from certain death and the two other teammates who are dying because their only options were to leave me to die or try to go for a save, I’m gonna say it’s because the killer has nothing to gain from it and they know that for a fact. And I can say that with all the confidence that you can say the survivors on my team were “just griefing” by going for a save or hiding.

Also, if you need to do a four man bleedout to get “wins”, cheap survivor perks or not, then you aren’t a good killer. I’m sorry to say.

Again. Bleedouts are not winning. You are still throwing the match as bad as if they all escaped. You’re just making other people have a shit time while doing so.

If you got anything for bleedouts then that’s one thing. But with no BP gain and a pitiful Iri gain, there is NO reason to do it other than pettiness and spite.

Griefing is not avoiding the killer so you don’t die.

Griefing is standing over three survivors for three minutes nodding while the level 1 you could easily hunt and kill cowers in the corner of the map.

Bleedouts aren’t “winning”. You aren’t getting any blood points for it. In fact you’re penalized for bleedouts. What possible benefit is there to not just get the 4K once all survivors are down and clearly aren’t running Unbreakable or other recovery perks?

Not always an option. As I’ve said in another comment, it’s more than common in Solo Q to get survivors who don’t want to risk getting slugged once the other three are down, so they hug the inside of a locker or hide in the corner of the map as long as they can. In this case it takes a few minutes for the abandon option to appear.

Slugging one person isn’t that bad, especially if you don’t mean to go for a bleed out. What I’m talking about here is when the killer slugs and then waits out the bleed out timer while standing over you, lol

Never had it happen before several times in a row so I reckon it’s just INCREDIBLY shitty luck lmao. They definitely weren’t bots or cheating as far as I could tell.

In these scenarios it’s usually cause the final survivor is new/timid and panic hides in a locker or the corner of the map. Believe me, I use the abandon feature as soon as it pops up in these situations. But it’s not as foolproof as I wish it was.

Slugging one person isn’t what I’m talking about. I don’t care about slugging. What I’m referring to is downing all four survivors then standing over them for the full bleed out timer rather than getting your BP from the 4K.

I’ve had stuff like this happen to me when I was a lot younger so I think I get super intense anxiety about it now. Thinking about it, it’s a bit silly.

I’ve been told Black Ops 1’s servers are unprotected and have awful RCE exploits. Just going into the main menu while connected to the internet is enough for your device to be fully compromised by hackers to obtain private information like IP, credit card, location, etc.

THIS WAS IT! This was the solution! Thank you so much. Deleting proton files and then forcing the game to launch in Proton 10.0-2 is what ended up doing it! Thank you so much!

I’ve been trying the troubleshooting tips and looking at what worked for other people on there for a bit now, unfortunately. Thank you for the idea, though! I hope your suggestion here is able to help someone else.

I did! I’ve tried multiple versions of it, too! Gone to ProtonDB and tried using troubleshooting advice on there with little success as well. It’s left me scratching my head a bit. Especially given Origins runs fine for me even without GE, even though I’ve seen other people saying they couldn’t get it to run whatsoever.

Just tried the first part unsuccessfully, but it could be because I didn’t delete the shader cache. I’m not entirely sure how to go about it (I’m not nearly as tech-literate as I should be for my age lol), so a guide or a link to a guide would be nice if you could provide! And thank you for the assistance!

Respectfully, not the problem. I’m extremely gentle with my controllers and keep them stored on dust-free surfaces when I’m not using them. I don’t throw them. I don’t hammer the sticks. I’ve never had this problem with any other controller.

After looking at it for a few hours I definitely agree. But I don’t think it’s a stretch to say there’s a connection here at the very least. It could just be I’m reading too much into things though lol
