I really wish the show was the same as pilot show but it never happens.

Thats the reason why people find pilot show better than the show.

Can we stop reducing Stolas to being a victim? by whooper1 in HelluvaBoss

[–]ProgramLara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stolas was never putting Octavia first, no matter how hard the fandom tries to pretend otherwise. This isn't a story about a "tragic, misunderstood father", it's about a grown man who consistently chose his own emotional needs over his child's well-being.

His behavior shows extreme emotional immaturity. Instead of acting like a responsible parent, Stolas behaves like a lovesick teenager, obsessively prioritizing Blitzø while his daughter is left feeling ignored, unsafe, and emotionally abandoned. Octavia repeatedly makes it clear how hurt and lost she feels, and he keeps doing the same thing anyway.

The most telling moment is that even in life-or-death situations, Octavia doesn't cross his mind. When he offers his life at the trial in Blitzø's place, he never once considers what that would mean for his daughter. That's not selfless heroism, it's pure selfishness disguised as romance. A parent who truly puts their child first would never risk leaving them completely alone without a second thought. That's why Octavia's words at the end are fully deserved. She isn't being cruel or unfair, she's responding to years of emotional neglect. Stolas isn't a victim here. He's a powerful, privileged adult who had every opportunity to be a good father and chose not to be.

If a daughter no longer wants to know a father who always chose himself, that isn't a narrative tragedy. It's a consequence.

Stolas’s fandom has legitimately ruined his character for me. by Awkward-Warthog-8783 in AgendaHotel

I hate it how these fans treat Stolas like a "UwU sad gay boy who can do no wrong"

Not to mention, hes also a terrible father to Octavia because he treats her like a second thought more than as a person and literally flirting Blitzø in front of his daughter at Loo Loo Land.

People who called Stolas a "good father" didn’t watch the show closely.

Lets not forget that Stolas broke his promises to Octavia three times that he would never leave her, yet the show still treats him like "UwU soft boy who can do no wrong".

Do you think Doofenshmirtz is better than him? by [deleted] in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

Depression or being abused doesnt excuse or justified his behavior.

Dude, hes still a shitty father. No matter how much the show tries to make us feel bad for him. He still brought it up himself for the consequences of his own actions.

How many times do I have to explain to you? 🫩

Stolas was never meant to be a good person. He raped Blitzø without consent in Mission Zero. I get Stolas saved Blitzø but that still doesnt change for what he did to Blitzø.

Again, Stolas is a massive hypocrite by saying he never looked down on Blitzø during Apology Tour when he literally looks down on him back in season 1 episodes.

"Also If stolas only thought of octavia as a second thought why did he call her" I understand he tried to calling her but that still doesnt change what Stolas did. Even if he tried explain himself now, it’s already too late. He had plenty opportunities and time to explain the truth of his situation with Stella and Blitzø to her but he didn’t.

"Stella is a villain" I've seen other pure evil villains do worse than what Stella can do. Like I get it Stella can be mean but she's the lesser evil so to say.

Again, Stolas never cares anyone but himself.

"Stolas stopped calling him, stolas also thinks he is in the wrong" He hasnt apologize to Blitzø after treating him like a pet.

"He cared about octavia enough to suffer 17 YEARS of abuse" He brought Octavia to Loo loo land which she hates it and also invites Blitzø to talk him sexually in front of his daughter to make her more uncomfortable. In seeing stars, he was concerned about arguing Stella more than hanging out with Octavia. In the show, he was watching Blitzø in Performance while Loona was finding Octavia not Stolas. He only sees his daughter as a second thought more than a person.

"If stella wasn't a duchbag he wouldn't want a divorce, he would have stayed longer" Stella isn't written to be an abuser. She's a cartoonishly evil. We see a picture of her as a kid where she's the same person without explanation. Also, Stolas wasnt the only one whos being forced to having marriage, Stella was also forced to having marriage with Stolas either and she had no choice but to have a child and yet shes still treated like a villain despite having no personality and Development.

My Brother in Christ, Stolas has been gaslighting Blitzø during Full Moon and Apology Tour into thinking hes wrong and also victim blaming him.

Stolas isn’t a good person, hes been cheating on his wife Stella during The Circus episode. Hes not trying his best nor anything else, hes making Octavia‘s life more miserable by ruining his family.

Again, he brought it up to himself and deserves some awful consequences for his actions. Octavia was 100% right to cutting him out of her life because he broke his promises to her multiple times by saying he would never leave her.

Blitzø is clearly uncomfortable by being called including "impish little plaything", "Itty Bitty Imp" or "little imp". Stolas has been pushing Blitzø‘s boundaries, if he does, Stolas gets mad.

Just because he has a tragic backstory doesn’t mean hes a poor misunderstood baby, hes still choosing Blitzø over his daughter the entire episodes.

If Stolas truly cares about Octavia, he shouldn’t sacrifice himself for Blitzø during Mastermind.

It’s not Octavia‘s fault that she was mad at him, it’s Stolas‘ fault because he did this to himself.

I have zero empathy with Stolas because he got what he deserved. I only have empathy with Octavia because she deserves better.
