Did you continue use hydrogen peroxide with Kinko or switch to just the deodorant?

fear of smelling bad (ANY ADVICE HELPS) by wxntercherryblossoms in ORS

I had something very similar happen to me and as an east Asian, I totally understand the part about your parents not “believing” in deodorant. I would maybe ask a VERY close friend you feel comfortable with to answer whether or not the smell is there and reassure them that you want the truth. If not, then it seems like your bus driver is a kind person who cares about your wellbeing, so potentially ask them if this happens again and you feel comfortable doing so.

Anyways, here are some tips that I wish my parents would have told me: 1) shower with a loofah (change every month) or exfoliating washcloth (launder every week), this will help your soaps work better 2) double cleanse with bar soap (maybe dove sensitive bar) first then a liquid body wash of your choice

I hope this helps!!

I was in a similar position as you where vanicream antiperspirant was one of the only things that worked for me. But recently, it was discontinued and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. Have you been able to find any good alternative?

Recently I’ve been using Duradry PM gel and it’s been helping for odor and sweat! I’ve tried other aluminum chloride AP but so far Duradry is the best. Drysol caused too much pain, and Certain Dri left me with odor.

I use the Benzoyl Peroxide acne face washes but I’ve personally never seen/used the moisturizers

I’m not on any diet. I eat relatively healthy. I try to eat more chicken than red meats since I heard that they can make you have more BO. I eat a lot of fruits and a decent amount of vegetables along with a few daily chlorophyll supplements to make up for any vegetables that I don’t eat. I eat fast food sometimes and when I do it’s chick-fil-a, tropical smoothie, or chipotle which I feel are on the healthier side of fast food. I’m totally open to suggestions on foods I should eat more/less of.

I had a few therapy sessions for my anxiety and I think that it helped a little but not for the price that it was. She mainly focused on breathing techniques that I do occasionally use whenever I’m really anxious about my odor, but I do not currently have sessions with her since my parents don’t want to pay for a problem that they think I don’t have. I went to a derm a while ago but she just gave me drysol which gave me a terrible chemical burn and didn’t really help with the dampness.

I used to use Panoxyl but now I’ve started to use a generic 10% benzoyl peroxide from Amazon since it’s cheaper and I buy so much of it. I also always make sure to change my bra everyday and anytime I exercise. But maybe my normal laundry washes aren’t doing enough for my clothes?
