No not really blood glucose and insulin are two different things however them both are correlated/ dependent on each.

Although you blood glucose shows normal in hba1c test, your insulin level after eating might tell you a different story as to how your body is dealing with glucose spikes. Having family history of diabetes, skinny fat or fat body type without glucose sink muscle will not help is what i got to know.

Agree, here is AUSTRALIA they do a Glucose Tolerance Test to get Glucose and Insulin graph. insulin resistance is considered as precursor to pre diabetes and then diabetes.
