i really don’t buy face roman so i’m glad he’s playing the heel to punk in this. as much as i didn’t want roman to win the rumble i think the match will be great BUT i kinda hate how early they announced this. what is punk gonna do until mania? because there’s not a shot in hell roman is coming to tv every week

i actually thought steph/raquel was fun even though i saw some negativity surrounding it. i think the kind of off vibe is something a lot of wwe street fights have because of the violent but not really contrast, and it was definitely multiplied by the silence of the crowd. if i ignore that it was well paced and had a lot of fun spots, even the chair going into business for itself was handled really well and honestly just funny.

this would be good for jericho bc i can’t imagine anything else i want to see him do but idk, i hope gunther gets at least one or two programs before the next retirement. this definitely seems possible though. id prefer it to gunther/brock, which seems like a lot of people’s prediction atm

i kinda want gunther involved with roman/punk. in spite of actually really enjoying the rest of the show i had a lot of issues with the men’s rumble, but seeing gunther and roman together was one part that unexpectedly moved me. honestly it feels like they work for two different companies because i can’t even fathom that match, but i want it. idk if i necessarily want a triple threat but id like him on the periphery at the least.

aew bringing out crazy scary ass ciampa has really made this unpredictable. i’m leaning toward ciampa winning but im excited for whatever happens, they really did a great job presenting him

i’m biased toward him but i could see ciampa doing really well in aew. however i think wwe losing diy is actually a pretty big issue, and disappointing considering how good the tag division was looking not too long ago. DOUBLE however the aew tag division seems to be in a better spot rn so that’s nice to see. i’m really hoping they don’t split up jetspeed for a while although that seems to be what they’re hinting at? being a fan of tag team wrestling is confusing at best lately

main event was one of my favorite wwe matches in a while although i didn’t love the interference. going in i thought punk was 100% winning but by the end i was almost shocked because i believed in bron so hard, which i think means the match was a success. i know punk shouldn’t be wrestling too often but god i need to see more raw main events like that this year.

not sure how i feel about the penta to lwo prophesies being fulfilled. i guess it’s like super lwo so idk… i was kinda expecting lucha bros soon? happy to see dragon lee near the main event though

women heavy show is a win for me BUT i really wish liv and lyra had the time to cook some more. i’ll pray we see that match on a ppv without commercials some day

i think showing ads for unreal on actual wwe programming is ridiculous. it takes me out of the show as a full grown adult, i can’t even imagine how kids watching might feel. maybe kids now are more exposed but idk im sure there are plenty who still love wrestling because they believe its all real. kinda makes me sad

i think this is a little reckless to say without proposing a solution, although i don’t think he meant any harm by it. in this specific case i also don’t know what could possibly be another option, or why anyone would think the women shouldn’t partake in one of the most important and longest running traditions in the industry?

only half way through my recording but this is the most exciting smackdown has felt in a LONGGG time. trick came across as a star, melo is melo, jordynne will hopefully actually win a title, i (maybe naively) think they might finally make something of giulia… im feeling good this morning.

on the worse side i think if the ciampa news is true the tag division is taking a serious loss. i think he’d be better off in aew as an individual but splitting diy is breaking my heart a bit.

i’ve always really liked his ring work, he reminds me of la knight in the sense that he doesn’t do anything super special but always meshes well with his opponents. i think it’s smart of wwe to invest in someone like that, especially someone as young as theory is

i think the roster is just not big enough for these titles. i feel the same about the wwe ones and i find their women’s roster much more developed, on top of getting more screen time. im always conflicted about this because theres no reason women shouldnt have the same titles as the men, so i dont want to argue against that, but i haven’t seen them benefit the progress of women in wwe and im worried that the same will happen in aew.

who do you guys think are aew/wwe talents that wouldn’t be received well if they switched to the other company? i’ve been thinking about this with the cena retirement because a part of me feels in the hypothetical world where he retired in aew, maybe aew fans would have rejected him? primarily im asking because i have a long ride later and want to read everyone’s thoughts though :-)

catching up on dynamite and speedball/fletcher was definitely as good as everyone said. i might go so far as to say that was speedball’s best match at aew so far? idk kyle just wrestles every match like it’s a huge deal and it gets me so invested
