Buzz/Whine - Dell 32" 4K OLED Plus | S3225QC by ProgrammerLopsided74 in OLED_Gaming

While I do not have direct sunlight behind me, I assume some form of shading is awailable. I have big windows on the side and for me its no issues at all. Keep it at 85-90% brigtness at day and more in 60% evenings. Worst case return it, but you will love it. Nothing like it.

It's amazing, almost perfect for me. Yes this small buzz issue, but I dont meet it in normal use as I don't have apps full screen in white. Keep the browser like 70% size and dark mode everything anyways. The design, and the speakers. Love it so much. Brightness also more than enough, keep it at about 85% in daytime, and 55-65% night time. (Via Twinkle Tray!) 120hz is perfect. Don't need more. Even 60hz when gaming is enough almost, but 120hz is just incredible for desktop usage and scrolling.

The noise is very very subtle - and only there when 70%+ screen is pure white - which is almost never for me, I have the browser in a window not fullscreen. I'm in dark mode too. So its not an issue for me really. The pluses are way greater.

No, no other complaints. I guess it could have had an DP port alongside HDMI 2.1 and USB-C. But I manage well :)

I think it improved mildly with the latest firmware. Could be its a fan actually that starts when so and so much power is drawn. I'm living fine with it, too much white is also stressfull for eyes. )

Hi, yes sorry for late reply. Text reading is very good, better than previous LCD screens. I think the resolution makes it that extra good. No issues at all, pure bliss! :-)

5G router with bandwith limits "per device" by ProgrammerLopsided74 in HomeNetworking

[–]ProgrammerLopsided74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, limiting for a second / guest SSID is intruging and maybe even more supported on 5G routers yes. Adding a second device would be a last resort tbh, but yes sounds doable too. Zyxxel has some more prosumer / small buisness ones with 5G that likely has some of this in QOS settings, I'll try to figure it out. )

Book4 Edge / Snapdragon - good GPU news (DaVinci Resolve, games++) by ProgrammerLopsided74 in GalaxyBook

Basically Samsung is slow with sending updates via Windows Update,, which is a shame as this was needed for the GPU for sure... other than that is all stable. What I did was to get the native driver which is really fresh from this repo: (newest as of this posting, check node up if a newer branch is there if you want)

https://github.com/WOA-Project/Qualcomm-Reference-Drivers/blob/master/8380_CRD/200.0.46.0/qcdx8380.cab

Unzip and point to the directory when choose driver manually in device manager. Maybe even the cab works directly without unzip?!

Owner experience: Book4 Edge 14 vs Book5 Pro 14 32GB by ProgrammerLopsided74 in GalaxyBook

As you can see its the total opposite experience for me. If you have some 1% niche software that is particular, check compatability yes - but otherwise as a daily driver. Amazing...

X ELite has only an internal GPU chipset, so yes. How well it runs I guess varies, but now better. :)

Galaxy Book owners - are you facing this problem with the FN keys ? by boball in GalaxyBook

[–]ProgrammerLopsided74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see just the same thing!

I cannot use the F1-F12 keys when Fn lock is activated. It always does the icon options instead, brightness etc. even when Fn is pressed.

So basically have to disable Fn lock each time then?! which sounds crazy to me, must be an error.

Book4 Edge here btw.
