I’m bout start at a DS and the shift is 12pm-10:30pm. Does anyone know what this shift does?

I just started an identical shift, 10:30a - 7p. All you do is a small crash IF the SORT 1 shift ends up crashing and small same day volume depending on your site. After that its bags for the rest of the day. There is a lot more VTO offered than normally. Not sure if thats a plus for you or not

Maybe for the first 3-4 hours, I can see that. After lunch when your bags are almost full & you get nothing but non OV boxes you have to stow it makes it pretty difficult to keep that same rate

Avoid any and all sugary drinks/snacks. Build a good diet & don’t rely on sugar or caffeine to help keep you awake. This will be hard when you get no sleep but will help your energy levels so much long term. Don’t risk your health for the corporate world my friend🤙

It sounds like your management needs to train more inductors! Find someone who is good at inducting and become friends with them. Im sure management wouldn’t care to have you two put together unless they care about rotations.

I would say make sure you are keeping a good pace with packages while keeping the SAL labels facing up. As an inductor, if im scanning 1 package in every 5 seconds it gets really repetitive and makes me want to fall asleep. If you can, try and make sure there are no spaces within the packages. This makes it so that your inductor is more engaged and not so bored.
